I liked the drag and drop features and the UI which had consistent implementation of menus and windows, so learning how to use one feature meant I could figure out how to use another by applying the same methods. I also enjoyed the time scale feature of the simulation. It was useful to see simulations run both in real time, and very fast. Another useful element of the simul8 program was the very powerful distributions that we could apply to every single element of the simulation. For my assignment I was required to use this, and it was useful to see how the change in distribution of the input and output of the simulations made such a profound change in the results. I thought the usage of images was a little difficult and convoluted to apply. I also found the interface and polish of the look of the program to be a little old fashioned. It seemed to be from a late 90's to early 2000s theme that made the program look a little old fashioned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
