What do you like best about simpleCart?

I enjoy the level of decoupling from anything backend, and just the general versatility afforded by the fact that it's in JavaScript. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about simpleCart?

I wish it was open source (if it is, I somehow didn't catch it from the website when I used it, so that might be worth clarifying) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering simpleCart:

I think, especially if you have your own backend, it's best to build some kind of API wrapper in JavaScript so instead of having to constantly bridge the gap between simpleCart and the backend, you have a consistent bridge of which the API is all that you'll have to deal with. What problems is simpleCart solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm essentially solving two problems

1) getting eCommerce going for a business that isn't online-first

2) ensuring that the technology can be passed on to a decent web developer when I leave
