
For reference - I have used Salesforce ExactTarget Marketing Cloud and Braze (formerly Appboy) and have been working in CRM for the last 6 years.
I LOVE working with SimonData. The team is small, but I think this is an asset - it means that they listen to our feedback and actually build features to help us get what we need (small enough to pay attention, but big enough to actually deliver new functionality). I have been using SimonData for over two years now, and the product continues to expand and grow to meet our needs.
What I really like is that the tool has a lot of out of the box integrations to help us meet all of our business needs. In the last few years, in addition to sending emails through Sendgrid, we've added: direct mail, Mandrill (for riskier sends to less engaged users), push notifications, and SMS. Adding all of these channels to our suite was pretty painless and easy. Compared to other tools that might lock you into one ecosystem, SimonData allows us to manage all of our users and datapoints, and push them into tools we want to use that can be best-in-class in their own category.
We also get a lot of support and attention from the team - we meet with the team on a call once a week or as needed, and we have a Slack channel as well for real-time support throughout the day.
All in all, the team is great to work with, and give us the flexibility we are looking for. If you're looking for a tool that can help you deliver great customer experiences, have multi-channel support, and a team that you actually want to work with every day - you have nothing to lose by at least talking to the SimonData team. Probably the only drawback we have encountered is that the Simon team is based in NY, and doesn't have coverage for early EU hours or for APAC where we have other markets. It hasn't been a /huge/ hurdle for us, but I imagine this could be important to other teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
