What do you like best about Simio Production Scheduling?

Being able to simulate various conditions like manpower fluctuations, machine uptime and predictive maintenance and being able to balance the line for increased throughput. I had to create a new process for a new line of product in our facility for a sub-assembly area. The task was to have enough stations so that it does not hold up the line. The analysis and optimization that I performed on Simio helped me achieve that goal. Also, being able to get help from the Simio community is super useful and interacting with like-minded people is fun. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Simio Production Scheduling?

Lack of training with certain parts of the product make getting help a painful and time-consuming experience. Also, with so many features, sometimes, especially without enough training, using Simio can get overwhelming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Simio Production Scheduling:

This is a great tool but when you start using it - owing to its complexity and features - it can get overwhelming. Take your time to learn it and get trained on it by getting additional help. Make the most of the Simio community by posting your questions and solving problems together. It's a great tool for analyzing demand and optimizing performance, especially in a manufacturing setting. What problems is Simio Production Scheduling solving and how is that benefiting you?

Being able to simulate an entire new assembly line with as much detail as possible to identify constraints, costs, and throughput and being able to test out various scenarios or iterations make it useful and directly improve the bottom line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
