Simcenter HEEDS excels at automating design exploration and optimization without requiring deep expertise in algorithms or statistics. Its ability to quickly connect with various CAE tools and run multi‑objective studies in parallel significantly accelerates our evaluation process. I particularly appreciate its user‑friendly workflow, powerful search strategies, and the way it reveals design trends that would be difficult to discover manually. It helps us identify optimal design configurations early, reduce engineering guesswork, and improve product performance with confidence.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter HEEDS?**

Some advanced setup options require additional learning time, especially when configuring complex workflows with multiple solvers. Running large optimization studies can also become hardware‑intensive, which means performance depends heavily on available computing resources. Additionally, integrating certain third‑party tools may require extra scripting or customization. These challenges are manageable but do require some initial investment in time and system capacity.

**What do you like best about Simcenter HEEDS?**

The integration of Siemens products into HEEDs makes it easy for new starters to build a simple optimisation workflow and get started on a design journey.
Ease of configuring a Portal such as the settings for "NX/Designcenter" loading is really easy to use also.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter HEEDS?**

Other MDO software has the ability to take advantage from symbolic links, such as global variables in session shared across "flows". This makes it easier to share workflows within a team. Also visual recognition of parameter management is lacking compared to other MDOs

**What problems is Simcenter HEEDS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MDO studies of turbomachinery components, and other components in a gas turbine engine.

**What do you like best about Simcenter HEEDS?**

What stands out in the recent updates is the AI Simulation Predictor. It has significantly reduced the time needed for complex optimization studies, sometimes by up to 30-40% without losing accuracy. The new HEEDS Connect also makes it much easier to collaborate with my team by allowing us to monitor studies and share results through a central dashboard from anywhere.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter HEEDS?**

While the AI features are powerful, they still require a bit of a learning curve to set up the training data correctly. I would also like to see even more direct integrations with niche third-party simulation tools without needing custom scripts.

I like its strong automation capabilities, easy connection with many simulation tools, user-friendly workflow setup, and the availability of different optimization algorithms, especially SHERPA.

For more complex workflows, setup and troubleshooting can sometimes take time, especially when linking multiple software tools or diagnosing failed runs.

Calibrating parameters for nonlinear material constitutive models, geometry optimization, DoE, data correlation, and related tasks.

I dislike only the cost and want free trials for it as in users come in person to help us set it up for projects.

It can benefit us if we want to make a digital twin for a simulation or physical product.
