**What do you like best about Simcenter Amesim?**

I like that Simcenter Amesim models are fast to build, which gives me more time to analyze system dynamics instead of spending a lot of time building models from first principles. Its intuitive interface and vast libraries are very helpful. The detailed documentation serves as a knowledge repository for physical components. I find the graphing plots very well organized. It's great that there's seamless connectivity to MATLAB/Simulink, which makes work processes like MIL, SIL, and HIL a breeze. The solving times are fast, and it's easy to export models as FMUs.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter Amesim?**

The signal routing feature using dynamic transmitters can be improved, especially the tagging feature. Currently, I have to manually tag transmitters and receivers, which should be more automated. The creation of super components could also be made more intuitive to edit, as it's tedious right now.

**What problems is Simcenter Amesim solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simcenter Amesim helps me understand physical domain interactions, model gearbox for MIL, SIL, HIL, and study system feasibility. It speeds up model building with detailed documentation and intuitive libraries, enhancing system dynamics analysis.

**What do you like best about Simcenter Amesim?**

The vast library of pre-defined components allows us to model complex multi-domain systems (hydraulic, thermal, mechanical) very quickly. However, the standout feature for us is the co-simulation capability with STAR-CCM+. Being able to couple 1D system simulation with high-fidelity 3D CFD allows us to get the best of both worlds: the speed of system simulation and the accuracy of CFD for critical components!

**What do you dislike about Simcenter Amesim?**

Due to the immense number of libraries and specialized verticals, the learning curve can be steep for new engineers trying to navigate all available options. Also, keeping track of all the license features for specific modules sometimes requires careful management.

**What problems is Simcenter Amesim solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Working at CAExperts in a position that bridges technical engineering and commercial strategy, the main challenge is often demonstrating the feasibility of complex systems to stakeholders efficiently. Simcenter Amesim solves this by allowing us to create rapid 'proof of concept' models. Instead of relying solely on presentations, we can show validated system behavior. This drastically shortens the decision-making cycle and builds immediate technical trust, reducing the risk of over-engineering before any physical prototype is built.

Simcenter Amesim has been a valuable tool in our work, enabling efficient system-level modeling and simulation of complex mechatronic and fluid power systems. It helps us validate designs early, reduce dependency on physical testing, and gain deeper insights into system behavior. Customization and integration with other tools can sometimes be less flexible than expected.

Simcenter Amesim helps us solve the challenge of analyzing complex multi-domain systems by enabling accurate system-level simulation early in the design phase. For example, we used it to model and analyze a fuel metering unit for a customer, allowing us to evaluate system performance, predict behavior under different conditions, and optimize the design without extensive physical testing. This resulted in reduced development time, improved reliability, and cost savings.

Amesim is a good way to test early new concepts from different domains

**What do you dislike about Simcenter Amesim?**

It is not as widespread as other tools such as matlab/simulink making it more difficult to find talent as well as on-board new members

**What problems is Simcenter Amesim solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multi domain simulation in early design phase, where we can present concepts to costumers and internal user in the company

**What do you like best about Simcenter Amesim?**

I appreciate Simcenter Amesim for its number of functionalities with built-in libraries. The general workflow also works well for me. I switched to Simcenter Amesim from OpenModelica for its faster deployment of simulations, and I found the initial setup to be quite straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Simcenter Amesim?**

It's very buggy, I feel like a beta tester sometimes. It can get quite slow with big datasets. The license server is unreliable - we lost countless hours of productivity. Documentation is quite weak. No generative options.

**What problems is Simcenter Amesim solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Simcenter Amesim for engineering tradeoff analysis, performance prediction, and digital twins.

optimization between chillers and buildings, Our chiller system has been classified as industrial because of the complexity of the system.

Interface is intuitive and clearly understandable.
Allows import of real-world values to model components such as pump speeds vs flow rate etc. as well as import of CAD geometries for things like fuel tank modelling

**What do you dislike about Simcenter Amesim?**

Having to import data manually, if it could automate the import of examples provided.
Lack of training that was available or worked / described examples

Understanding and modelling real world performance of fuel systems

**What do you like best about Simcenter Amesim?**

The libraries in Simcenter Amesim are very good and useful for our product development.

we can easily integrate Amesim models with Third party tools like Mathworks Simulink and Labview.

implementation of any physical system is very much easy and demo model will help alot.

RoM Builder is very good.

new features in 2410 version are very good for thermal management like heat exchangers.

Battery aging , thermal runaway, FoC Motor control models are very good, we have validated these models with field data

Hydraulics animation is very innovative

Siemens Support center is very good

**What do you dislike about Simcenter Amesim?**

Histogram plot option is required for Data Analysis during field data validation.

**What problems is Simcenter Amesim solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simcenter Amesim was used for the development of the Electric Tractor and Power Shuttle Tractor.

This tool was used for plant model development for executing MiL/HiL along with controls on Speed Goat target machine.

Battery , Cabin , OBC , DC-DC Converter Thermal management design and Development
