## About Sigma
Sigma is the AI layer for analytics, agents, and apps built on live warehouse data. It is a cloud analytics and business intelligence platform that helps business and technical teams explore live data, build reports and applications, and deploy AI agents directly on a cloud data warehouse, using a familiar spreadsheet interface alongside SQL, Python, and AI. - Analytics: Use Sigma for classic business intelligence workloads like pixel-perfect reporting, embedded analytics, and self-service access to data in an Excel-like interface. Build with AI, spreadsheet functions, SQL, or Python. - Agents: Deploy AI agents that act on live data and run multi-step workflows. Build them with natural language and your choice of enterprise LLM or warehouse AI. - Apps: Build AI Apps for operational work like planning and forecasting, scenario modeling, and approval routing, with writeback and governance automatically configured. Every artifact in Sigma inherits the security, permissions, and row-level access already set in the cloud data warehouse. Because governance is enforced at the source, anything a team builds is IT-approved from the start. Sigma solves a persistent tradeoff in enterprise data work. Business teams typically wait on a central data team to build reports and tools, while ad hoc AI and app-building tools produce work that sits outside IT's control. Sigma removes that tradeoff by keeping analysis, reporting, applications, and agents on live warehouse data under one set of permissions, so non-technical users build what they need while IT keeps a single, auditable system of control. Founded in 2014, Sigma is a privately held company headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in New York, London, and Sydney. More than 2,000 companies trust Sigma, including DoorDash, Blackstone, JPMorgan Chase, and Figma. Sigma is the business intelligence partner of the year for both Snowflake (2023-2026) and Databricks (2025-2026).

## Sigma Reviews
 ### 1. Easiest BI Tool: Live Snowflake Data in a Spreadsheet-Like Experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Keerthan P. | Associate Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

It's honestly the easiest BI tool I've used. Feels like a spreadsheet but it's pulling live data straight from Snowflake no extracts, no stale data. Setting up the connection with Snowflake is dead simple too, works with key pair or OAuth so it's quick and secure. We use it for a bunch of things client project dashboards, migration trackers, internal trackers and it handles all of it without any hassle. Anyone can pick it up quickly, no SQL needed. Makes my life a lot easier.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Gets a bit laggy when workbooks have a lot going on lots of elements, big datasets, that kind of thing. Some of the advanced features aren't super intuitive at first, you kind of have to figure them out on your own. Not a dealbreaker but could be smoother.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were spending way too much time building one-off reports for people. Now with Sigma, teams can build their own dashboards and trackers we use it for migration tracking, client project reporting, and internal operations tracking. The Snowflake connection was easy to set up and stays reliable, so everyone has access to real-time data whenever they need it. People don't need to come to us for every little thing anymore, saves a ton of time.

 ### 2. Sigma unlocks data value for our organization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Austin M. | Director of Partnerships, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

What I’m really liking about Sigma lately is how powerful the outputs have become while still being incredibly accessible. We’re able to build analyses and dashboards that actually drive decisions, not just report on data, and the usability means they can be quickly picked up and used across the organization without heavy training. That combination of depth and accessibility has made it much more valuable as a day-to-day tool, not just something used by a small technical group.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Nothing at the moment. I've loved everything on the roadmap!

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They help us solve the probelme of visualizing siloed data for organization benefit and decision making. It also allows us something share with our client to make meaningful decisions.

I believe there is more capabilities it could have integrating with AI tools that companies is currently use.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use this to track the activity of our employees and our clients. We use this data for strategic conversations to help better our clients business and help make connections between lack of utilization and lack of profits, or conversely when they are using our software more they are more profitable. It helps keep our more difficult clients happy and with our company.

I love that I can save custom views so I can access a dashboard just how I want it every time. Saves a lot of time throughout my day!

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Being able to put custom color filters from a viewer standpoint would be much appreciated in order to help differentiate different columns and rows at a glance.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems that Sigma is solving is being able to easily understand the data that is being presented without having to know much about how to filter or use the data in a manual way. Sigma benefits me by saving me a lot of time in trying to do my usual data analysis manually every day.

**Reviewed by:** Jaimie K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like how user-friendly Sigma is. I'm not a data analyst but work with data, and it makes it really easy to pull in data and work with it in complicated ways that don't require coding. Input tables and calculated fields are really useful, and being able to link data via specific columns is a big plus. Sigma allows me to pull data in from various sources and add new information to evaluate or answer specific questions. It's really easy to use, even though I'm new to Sigma.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

I'm very new to Sigma so I don't know enough yet to go into specifics but I'd love to have a better guide on best training sessions to watch online depending on specific use cases. More generally as a new user I'd love to have a specific enablement pathway or classes to follow.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma allows me to pull in data from various sources and visualize it on a user-friendly platform. It makes complex data tasks easy without coding, and I can link data via specific columns using input tables and calculated fields.

 ### 7. Easy Sigma Integration with Powerful Plugins and In-UI Data Editing

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ibrahim A. | Analytics Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like that it’s very easy to integrate, whether you use iframes or the SDK, and that you don’t have to code everything from scratch—you can simply bring the power of Sigma into your application. I also like the custom plugins, and the fact that it lets users edit data directly in the UI and have those changes saved back to the data store, without needing to build the entire API and backend flow yourself.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Sometimes it’s difficult to make the Sigma panel look exactly like the application design. I find the styling options somewhat limited.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It’s an excellent tool that benefits me a lot and saves me time. Now I don’t have to spend so much time in program dashboards; instead, Sigma takes care of the heavy data work, and I can focus on the application architecture and the user experience.

It's an excellent data visualization tool, it helps combine data from different sources. I can quickly access the information I need, querying directly from the databases.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has become a tool we rely on every week, and it allows me to turn our data into clear, easy-to-read dashboards. It has also changed the way we conduct performance evaluations by helping me pull valuable insights from the data. Overall, we use the platform to analyze product performance and better understand what the data is telling us.

 ### 9. Excellent Dashboards, Flexible Visualizations, and Easy Data Source Setup
