## Sigma Reviews
  ### 1. Sigma helps us move faster and build smarter

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kenn Z. | Director, Product Marketing, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Sigma has become a core part of how we work—both internally and in the product experiences we deliver to customers. We’ve used it to launch embedded market analytics that now live directly in our platform. It’s one of our most engaged-with features, and it was built and shipped in just a few weeks with very little engineering lift. That kind of speed and independence is rare.

Internally, Sigma has also made a big difference. It’s easy to build with, easy to use, and intuitive enough that folks across product, marketing, and other teams can explore data and find answers on their own. It’s helped us cut back on one-off data requests and made our reporting much more real-time and collaborative.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Would be great to have a few more options for visual customization and export formatting, especially for more public- or customer-facing use cases. But overall, we’ve been able to work around that without much issue.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Enabled our product and data teams to quickly build and launch new analytics features for our users

- Gave cross-functional teams direct access to live data so they can answer their own questions

- Reduced time spent on manual reporting and ad hoc requests

- Helped make data more central to our day-to-day decisions

  ### 2. Enterprise Level Analytics Iteration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abram Y. | Senior Data Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

The ability to quickly iterate on analytics reports and analysis for both internal and external use cases. Nothing gets customers more motivated than seeing quick turnaround with feedback against their data. Iterating directly in native applications can take multiple sprints to complete, and by that time you've lost the valuable customer interest and engagement.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

To my knowledge you can't create custom visuals to drop into sigma. For our use case however once we hit a mature level with reports and views thats the trigger to devlop in house directly in the application.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma allows enterprise level visibility against data warehouse solutions. It also lets us quickly embed analytics and iterate with external customers while we develop. Without this we would have to build static presentations to discus with customers and lose the benefit of live interactive engagement. Internally training business users to query against databases is not maintainable. Sigma allows them to self service to a degree and takes a load off the data engineering teams shoulders.

  ### 3. Recent Product Development is a Hit! Tremendous Impact to our Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex G. | Lead Data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

As someone who has used Sigma daily for 2.5 years, the product development in the last 6 months has made such a huge difference to our organization's data. We appreciate being able to write SQL, execute queries, and create visualizations in one platform. Funny enough the Column Details and being able to search the Column names is also super helpful. Huge fans of the new updates (tabbed containers, modals, custom context menus, etc.). Even the new feature of changing the # type in the top left saves us tremendous amounts of time.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

In the last 6 months, datasets are now buggy and you are unable to write without getting kicked from the query. When I brought this up on a demo, I was told "who uses datasets anymore" which led to a distrust. A lot of our historic dashboards rely on datasets and it makes editing / modifying queries near impossible. I have to do everything in the Explore mode and copy/paste over. We have reported it countless times over the last few months but have gotten no updates or current workarounds.

The pop-up prompting the user to choose a Data Model instead of a Dataset was confusing at first. It took me months to finally try Data Models since its documentation did not provide a clear translation for how it is meant to "replace" datasets. The Metrics are a good idea, but time consuming to set up compared to writing the equations in the workbook itself.

We are looking to embed a Sigma dashboard in our mobile app but are running into restrictions with Sigma. Can't hide the bottom toolbar, can't turn off export functionality, etc.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The recent product developments are allowing us to analyze data & provide actionable, easy-to-digest dashboards for our customers. We will rely more on Sigma embeds in place of engineering efforts due to the ease of use & flexibility to publish and immediately update in our platform.

  ### 4. Easy Creation of Reusable, Business-Wide Universal Metrics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

It’a easy to create universal metrics that can be endorsed and reused across the business

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Without knowing all the features, you may not be making the most of it

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma covers all of our data analytics needs and helps us drive our business upward

  ### 5. Effective Performance Tracking with Slight Delays

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie H. | Client Support Representative, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like that I can see my metrics in clear organized charts and compare my progress to my other team members.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

There is a pretty big delay in updating metrics. I wish it updated more frequently. Sometimes it takes over 12 hours to update.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sigma to track my closed cases, reviews, and team performance. It helps me monitor my work metrics and ensure I'm on track for my bonus. I like viewing my metrics in clear charts and comparing my progress with my team.

  ### 6. Effortless analytics & dashboarding made Easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yulian R. | SysAdmin - Compliance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

We have been using Sigma for nearly two months across our company, primarily for product, sales, portal access analytics, and statistical visualizations. Sigma’s spreadsheet-like interface makes it incredibly easy for team members—technical and non‑technical alike—to explore live data directly from our cloud warehouse.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Sigma is intuitive and easy to use, but it has a few limitations. Customization for visualizations is somewhat limited, performance can slow down with large datasets, and certain report tweaks—like table joins—can be tricky to configure.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma helps us turn raw data into actionable insights without relying heavily on engineering resources. It simplifies access to product, sales, and portal usage analytics through live dashboards and self-service reporting. This has improved cross-team visibility, accelerated decision-making, and reduced the time spent on manual data analysis.

  ### 7. Strong Support and Powerful Performance on Millions of Records

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

It's strong support and functionalities like write back and performance on top of millions of records.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Nothing as of now, all work great. Action mechanism complexity can be made lower.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Insurance leads intake to actuarial and underwriting use cases

  ### 8. 45 years presenting data

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve B. | CEO Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

The ease of use with absolutely no SQL or programming required. Formulas can be utilized for everything I have ever wanted to do.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

I had to sit here and think about this. I couldn't come up with any negatives. I suppose in fairness, I do have a very good data team who organizes the data and makes it available to me to use in Sigma, so maybe that technical database back end would be a barrier to a user who was trying to just use csv files etc. I find that I can supplement with csv's where I find data that is not in our warehouse.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Complex and messy data from close to 20 different sources, all government data, all publicly available. I have 19 years parsing this data and have never come close to the story telling I can do with Sigma

  ### 9. Great Usability and a Polished Experience for End Users

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Usability of the system is great and the final product is nice for end users to use

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Sometimes functionality is slow to roll out

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Providing a tool that allows for data insights to be shared with my stakeholders

  ### 10. Useful and Impactful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Sigma is great for our FP&A team to get access to data that's in places like big query which would previously have required folks to write sql.

It's easy to use, and required little to no training to get started since it has so many similarities to other programs like excel.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

We still struggle to eliminate manual processes with Sigma when presenting to execs. They are not going to hop into a sigma dashboard, so we end up either having to painstakingly create all presentation materials within sigma and then screenshot them into a presentation, or paste data organized for a chart from sigma into a spreadsheet which leaves room for error.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To pivot raw bookings and ARR data, create simple charts that we look at on a monthly basis, and investigate one-off anomalies.

  ### 11. Best BI tool I've used!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Allyson M. | Product Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Sigma is the most intuitive and flexible BI tool I’ve worked with. The spreadsheet-like interface lowers the barrier for non-technical users, while SQL compatibility and CTE support give analysts like me the power to dig deep. I also appreciate how seamlessly it integrates with our cloud data warehouse—no more worrying about data pipelines or stale dashboards.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Some of the custom visual tweaks are limited, which is mildly annoying for aesthetics, but I only make dashboards that are internal to the company (not for customers), so it's not a huge blocker.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma helps me gather the data in one place to answer the big business questions that I just can't get to in a product analytics tool. I LOVE the way it sits on top of our data warehouse (Snowflake) - it makes it so much easier to create massive datasets and analyze them in a way that's consumable for a wide audience. The team at Sigma has also partnered with my team at Snowflake to help me get the most out of the tool - as the solo analyst at my company, the help is SO appreciated! Instead of being limited to product events and analytics, I can bring in data from our entire company across sales, marketing, finance, product, etc.

  ### 12. Low overhead, intuitive BI platform.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas N. | Data Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 16, 2024

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

The platform can do nearly all things a BI platform needs to do in a very straightforward way. The UI/UX is great and users have had no problem understanding the features. We really like how easy it is to connect to the popular data warehousing platforms how simple the adminstration is. The customer support has also been incredible for feature request, questions, etc...

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Nothing in particular. The dashboarding features are not quite as built out as other platforms so for companies that rely heavily on Power BI/Tableau it might be more of a complement rather than a replacement.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma has been a great resource for self service analytics, and for users to develop quick reports using an excel like interface with the latest data from the warehouse.

  ### 13. Always Improving with Constant New Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nestor T. | Senior Data Scientist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

New features constantly being added. Seamless integration with Snowflake.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Custom plug ins aren’t universal. Visualization charts need more diversity.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Dashboards are providing user insights for driving impact.

  ### 14. Love the Input Table

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deepak J. | VP, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Input table introduction solved the end user.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Ability to do the sorting. For input table you need write back access.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Visualization and cloud data.

  ### 15. Why I like Sigma

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex M. | Team Coach, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

It is very easy to see lots of data and make conclusions about it since it is portray clearly

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

It can take a long time to load, easy to break sigma cards.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps easily identify trends in performance, and makes it easy to pull data and KPI's.

  ### 16. Easy enough for anyone to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

My favorite aspect of Sigma is how easy it makes it to share analyses and dashboards with different members of the team. It also makes it easy for non-technical members of the team to modify the analyses so they can answer questions they have. I find the interface intuitive and easy to use and find that most people can figure out how to use it even without training. I use Sigma everyday and rarely run into frustrations. I also like how simple it is to turn data into visualizations.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

One area I think could be better is making custom number formats easier to use whereas it requires multiple clicks to reduce the number of decimal places.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma allows our company to have a collective understanding of problems so we know which areas of weakness we need to focus on improving.

  ### 17. Overall A Great Tool For Data Analysts

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like the updates and how it’s still relevant

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Needs to be more user friendly honestly.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Makes it very easy to build reports and it presents data in a format i.e. excel which is everyone already familiar with. Very simple and smart UI. You don't need much training to use this software. You can easily schedule and send the excel report to others via email. Suitable for non SQL users.

  ### 18. G2 Sigma is high effective data tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarwar A. | Team Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Honestly, I am new to Sigma, earlier I was using different tools.
Sigma have a various functional specially for data visualization and share data insight with stake holders with all security parameter.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Till now I did not get that, I will report when I will find such of them

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma is helping us to our day day to reporting and data visulization, reports are clear and data meaningful data insight help stakeholder/higher management for their decision making.

  ### 19. Great way to empower business owners with insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Sigma is refreshingly simple for everyday business users yet powerful enough to keep our data team. Because it feels as familiar as a spreadsheet, non-SQL colleagues can build ad-hoc analyses in minutes, while power users still have access to an IDE.

That balance has opened the door for marketing, sales, product and finance stakeholders to explore both our product databases and Salesforce data on their own, which has dramatically shortened our time-to-insight and reduced the number of one-off data requests.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

A handful of UI quirks occasionally slow us down, page layouts get a little funky when we add a lot of UI elements, but functionally no major issues.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For our Sales Org it offers much more flexible analytics since we use SFDC and the reporting is terrible. Throughout the company it is our central BI tool to unlock a lot of reporting.

  ### 20. Nice Data Aggregation with Difficult Learning Curve for Dashboards

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like how easy it has been to aggregate data from multiple data sources.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Building dashboards has not been intuitive and has required learning roundabout ways of getting what I want done. I have been unsuccessful in leveraging a lot of my database knowledge to create views and tables and have had to rely on learning the way that Sigma manages the data.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma is primarily solving the issue of data sprawl between multiple applications we use. This benefits us by bringing all of the data into a single source where we can show connections between our sales performance data and platform usage across our other tools.

  ### 21. Easy to use with great insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Irina J. | Inbound Marketing Manager, Internet, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Sigma Computing has completely transformed the way our team works with data. As someone who’s worked with everything from Excel to traditional BI tools, Sigma hits the sweet spot between usability and power.

The biggest win? Real-time data exploration without needing to write SQL. Our business users can self-serve insights without constantly going back and forth with analysts. At the same time, power users can drop into SQL or use formulas for advanced use cases. The spreadsheet-like interface feels familiar but is deeply connected to our cloud data warehouse, which means we’re always working with fresh data.

Collaboration is another standout feature. We can easily build dashboards, share live reports, and annotate insights in a way that actually drives decisions—not just pretty charts sitting on a shelf.

What I like most:

Intuitive UI with powerful functionality

Real-time connection to Snowflake (and other cloud warehouses)

Enables non-technical users to explore data safely

Fast performance even with large datasets

Great version control and collaboration tools

What could be improved:

Some advanced visualization features are still catching up to competitors

Would love even tighter integrations with other tools in our stack (e.g., Slack, Notion)

Bottom line:
If your company is serious about being data-driven, Sigma is a must-have. It bridges the gap between data teams and business users better than any tool we’ve used.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

While Sigma is strong on accessibility and live data connections, the interface can feel clunky at times, especially with large datasets. Performance occasionally lags when working with complex joins or large tables. Also, some basic features—like custom visualizations or more flexible formatting—are limited compared to more mature BI tools. Lastly, versioning and change tracking could be more intuitive; it’s sometimes hard to tell what changed or who made edits in shared workbooks.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to track SQLs and seeing patterns that allow me to optimize our demand gen.

  ### 22. Great Platform with a Great Team

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian C. | Analytics Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

If you’re in Snowflake, Sigma is a must. It has some top notch features that leverages Snowflake like no other platform I’ve used.

Biggest strengths are…

It’s so intuitive to use that it really solves the “Self-Service Analytics” need of a company. New users can navigate and build with little to no training, plus the lite license allows you to deploy without any hassle. The dashboard building is simplified so that you can build easily without sacrificing quality or aesthetics.

The team at Sigma. They are amazing at making themselves available to address issues and work with you on building out different use-cases for providing value to others in your organization. They truly become a partner for you during your development and deployment early on.

The rapid development of new features is also a huge strength. New features are constantly getting pushed.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Nothing that I dislike specifically but I think they really need a module to integrate scripting. The ability to integrate Python scripting within data models or dashboards would really take it to the next level. This could be awesome for data manipulation and some more advanced analytics.

Also, the mapping utilizes Mapbox which I’m not a huge fan of. I really wish it could integrate layers and the use of multiple shapefiles.

I do also wish it had a few more options on the visualizations. I think there are some additional options could really set it apart.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of access to our Snowflake warehouse. It creates a window to our data that allows users to access, interact with, and utilize for analytics without having to give them access to the actual warehouse.

The reporting feature and the write back feature are addressing several needs for data collection and triggered reports for users.

  ### 23. User-Friendly But Occasionally Slow

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda C.

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I find Sigma incredibly user-friendly, making setup and access straightforward, which enhances my productivity. I appreciate how easy it is to read data and access various filters, especially for weekly stats through the coach's dashboard. I also enjoy the seamless integration with Excel, enabling easy downloads.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

I find it a bit slow sometimes. It usually takes about five or ten minutes to load, which can be inconvenient when I'm working.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Sigma to pull team scores and evaluate problem areas quickly, benefiting from its user-friendly interface, easy access to data, and seamless Excel integration.

  ### 24. Sigma takes analytics to the next level

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marshall T. | Senior Manager, Data Analytics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

The ability to exploit input tables for endless use cases, e.g. ad hoc taxonomy, lookups, scenario modeling, etc. This enables us to finally make a compelling case for users to stop exporting data to spreadsheets and use the native Sigma features to do everything they need directly from the application.
A close second is the no-code UI, with robust version control -- no need to manage a discrete modeling layer, just connect directly to your entities from the data warehouse.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Content search is robust and user friendly, but doesn't always yield expected results -- would like to see some level of configurability on the Admin side.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma is the primary way in which business users interact with data on our data platform. Sigma enables quick connectivity to Snowflake, and intuitive content development and query experience for users at all levels.

  ### 25. Awesome summary of stats

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Security and Investigations | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I love that there are a lot of options and many different stats to pull. It helps us pull information that gives us a story of what we are looking at, so we know how to proceed.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

I wish the dashboard was easier to navigate. Sometimes it doesn't load when I want to select group names, or if I select all, it puts Null as well, which shows no results.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I think it helps me gather an entire story for my team of operators and knowing where they excelling and where they can improve.

  ### 26. KPIs done easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karina N. | Operations Manager in Training, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

It is very tedious to run reports and get KPIs for an entire department. Sigma makes it easy to do, and in turn my direct reports and I save time and energy.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Often times there are discrepancies and numbers that aren’t pulling accurately.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pulling KPIs can be tedious and time consuming. Sigma takes care of that.

  ### 27. Sigma - Highly Recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Sigma is intuitive, easy to use, and boasts frequent updates that constantly improve its effectiveness.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

I actually have very few complaints about Sigma - for the most part it really gets the job done.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a data analyst, and Sigma is a fantastic cloud-based business intelligence (BI) and analytics platform. I handle both internal and external requests, and I am consistently impressed with how many easy-to-use but powerful features Sigma offers. I primarily use it to generate dashboards and reports, validate data, and collaborate on projects with my team.

I like how Sigma simplifies working with large, complex datasets by turning them into clear, interactive visuals. It makes it easy to spot trends, track KPIs, and collaborate on data-driven decisions without needing to write heavy SQL or rely entirely on BI teams.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Sometimes, It slows down with heavy data loads.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma helps me track midmarket revenue trends and numbers in real time by turning raw data into clear, interactive dashboards. It makes it easier to spot delivery patterns, identify gaps, and act faster without waiting on manual reports.

  ### 30. Average performance but justifies the price

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishabh S. | Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

It provides a bang for you buck. Relatively cheaper than its competitors and has more features for similar priced tools

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Very slow, can't be used for presentations. has limited support for visualizations (maps unavailable)

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

helps query data warehouse without having to deep dive into the backend. easy to use and very easy to create reports

  ### 31. Modern BI Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Direct access to the database (Snowflake) and Speed. Sigma's fast loading times are game-changers for us as an agency. Visibility Control makes it easier for us to share dashboard internally and externally.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Visualization options are slightly more limited compared to Tableau. Frequent UI change and product updates can confuse users.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our marketers leverage Sigma’s “Explore” mode to create their own views and visualizations without needing help from data analysts. This shift significantly reduced ad-hoc requests, allowing analysts to focus on more in-depth analyses, come up with better metrics or complex attribution designs, and explore advanced solutions. Sigma’s cloud-native approach aligns perfectly with our vision for data-driven marketing growth as a marketing agency. Sigma enables our team to make smarter and faster decisions for our clients.

  ### 32. Modern, Intuitive Platform for Non-Technical Users

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JT M. | Intelligence Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

We moved from a personal, clunky BI tool to Sigma about a year ago -- this platform has extended our reach and allowed our team to bring on new, non-technical teammates for projects that require a data storyline. It is easy to follow, easy to navigate, and relatively simple to customize.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Sigma lacks some features depending on the license; for example, the standard user cannot export data or add values to additive tables. In addition, filters are not additive across tabs within the same work book, which requires manual reconciliation.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to process data faster than ever before and with fewer errors. In addition, our team's confidence in data storytelling has grown significantly since the platform is easy to follow.

  ### 33. Great Tool, love the flexibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Melissa N. | Senior Director, Performance Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like that it has many functions and seems like sigma has thought of it all. Its easy to use for my analytics team as well as the end user the different marketing teams. I am able to take the data that the analytics team has made available and cleaned up and am able to make new tables/data sets. It was very easy to learn and work with.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

No complaints that i can think of, any issues i have are data-related issues to do with our foundational issues.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma is able to show the users (the marketing teams) the data that they would normally pull manually. I myself am a power user and am able to manipulate data and show data in new ways that the team might need.

  ### 34. Amazing Data Visualization Tool

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

The most helpful things i find is their UI, very user friendly and easy to create and manage calculated fields and metrics. It also has quite a few visualization charts that can help with the ad-hoc report building as well as dashboard builds. I highly appreciate their customer support.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Something I would say they can improve on is adding more charts to their portfolio. I wish they had charts like scatter plot, Gantt chart, heat map and etc.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma is heling us solve many problems such as providing business insights of how our customers are using the services that we offer, how can we improve customer retention and how cutomers are getting billed for their usage and more.

  ### 35. Very positive feedback, easy to manipulate pages to get exactly what youre looking for.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff M. | Player Props Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I enjoy the layout, very easy to scan through the pages and break down the information and data with very little issues. We use it for daily numbers for our results and I love the easiness at which the site lays out all of the information.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Not much to be honest, the site is very clear and easier to navigate.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It ingests all of our daily numbers and puts them into a clearer view for not only those who are well versed in data science but also those who are not. My team uses it daily to check out figures and they all rave at the ease at how easy it is to use and go through results.

  ### 36. Sigma is a Lifesaver!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Janeth G. | Corporate Accountant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I love how easy it is to use. The reports are customizable. It is fast and easy to download into excel. It has greatly reduced and consolidated work that we used to have to do with our previous super outdated sotfware.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

There really is nothing that I can say I don't like

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in accounting at a large corporation and the main use for us is to help use reconcile our accounts and research transactions.

  ### 37. Sigma is a powerful, modern-looking tool for developing BI apps

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

The best part of Sigma for me is that it allows the apps to have sleek modern look with little to no effort. It has wide variety of customization options, viz objects look clean and fresh. It is extremely easy to work with this product especially having prior experience of using Excel as a viz tool. Also I really appreciate the Customer Support service, on early stages of getting dev experience with Sigma I am using them as second opinion - in situations when the requirements of the app cannot be satisfied in the way I used to do things.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Some part (rather small) of features we are used to in our previous BI tool are not yet available, and the only way to know if such features were considered to be implemented at some point is to use Support online chat. Also there's less flexibility in mixing different data sources in one app.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most valuable thing I can see in Sigma for business is that it is always based on live data from the data source you use. That allows users to always get the latest data possible. Also that removes one of the steps in a pipeline the data usually goes through, which simplifies troubleshooting.

  ### 38. Sigma opened our eyes to the possibilities and boosted our confidence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve V. | Delivery Lead, Enterprise Clients, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Sigma is very easy to use, well-thought out, and extremely high-performing. The solution makes it easy to build data models, create visualizations, share bookmarks with colleagues and organize insights from data. Our rep is also very good at brainstorming and offering us ideas and suggestions - often pointing us to resources. Plus, I love the built-in live chat feature - have used it 4 times and it's really helpful at the moment I'm stuck.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Self-service documentation could be better. I'm still exploring the community site, but it's not easy to get over there and find what I need. I wish Sigma would invest in more examples, more templates, more documentation resources.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Custom, manual analysis – Prior to Sigma, we were doing a lot of custom, manual spreadsheet analysis that took time and couldn't scale.
Replace a too-complicated alternative – We tried AWS QuickSight but it had a much too steep learning curve for our team.

  ### 39. Love how easy it is to get the reporting I need

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nick M. | Assessment Rater, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

What I live about Sigma is that I’m able to use the data within my current platform, have sigma ingest it and create the reports needed for my clients.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Honestly, like be a tad easier but once you get past the learning curve you’re gravy.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Clients often ask for reports that our platform doesn’t currently have. This is when we tap in Signma to get the reporting needed.

  ### 40. BestComprehensive tool for Data Warehousing!!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hemanth D. | DevOps Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Best part about Sigma is its ability to connect directly to our cloud data warehouse without moving data. Given interface makes it easy for business users to analyze large datasets in real time, without relying on any engineers or writing complex SQL quesries.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

No dislikes about it. But, Performance wise it heavily relies on the existing data warehouse. Large queries are sometimes slow if data warehouse is not optimized correctly.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Data analytics

  ### 41. My Firsthand Experience about using Sigma!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nikhil D. | Analytics Consultat, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Sigma has a very user friendly Interface and Drag and Drop functionality. Creating a dashboard layout is very easy in sigma as the elements auto adjusts itself, easy to trim extra spaces . Also it has got the write back capability by using input using using will can write back to the database, We can have a Centralised datasets/ Data Models

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Currently I am finding it difficult to create a custom visualisation , which are not available in Sigma default library.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A table like structure which is very beneficial. We are currently using sigma for clients who wants to migrate reports from other visualization tools to sigma.

  ### 42. Sigma Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

I like how Sigma feels familiar and easy to use, especially for anyone comfortable with spreadsheets. It connects well with cloud data warehouses, so getting started is pretty smooth, though some advanced features can take a bit to get used to. The support team is helpful, and it’s something I find myself using regularly.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

While it’s user-friendly compared to SQL, non-technical users can still find some features or formulas tricky at first.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can explore and analyze up-to-date data without needing to write SQL or wait for reports, which saves time and helps me make faster, more informed decisions.

  ### 43. Useful and handy - may take some training to utilize fully

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marissa D. | Senior Manager, Collaborator Experience Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

It's basically as useful as you know how to make it. If you can make charts and graphs in excel, you can use Sigma.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

We've been limited by the fact that you have to use everything in a column way, rather than having the option to use subtotals or sums the way you can in Excel. I'm not saying it should always be structured the same, but having more flexibility in how the charts tally would be really useful.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to have set settings for reporting that update dynamically with daily changes to the data warehouse has made a huge difference in our reporting.

  ### 44. Awesome Data and Visualization Tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nate B. | iOS Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

We have had great success with Sigma to build critical dashboards that pull in complex data. It also pulls in real-time data.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

Sometimes we have had some slow performance issues.

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I believe it saves us costs and gives us more flexibility than Amplitude, which is a GUI. We use Hex to help pull in the data.

  ### 45. Love the product

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa A. | Supervisor of Collections, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2025

I love the fact that I can now filter through and pull only the information that I need.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

There really is nothing that I do not like

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

  ### 46. Sigma is the most simple and versatile BI tool out there

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eli A. | Founder, CTO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Sigma?**

Sigma is a godsend for data-driven companies like ours that don't have dedicated data scientists sitting around to write SQL queries all day. It's easy to setup, easy to use, and feature-rich. We use it every day as our team's primary source of data-truth.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

The file organization works well enough, but it can be a bit unwieldy and I find it easy to lose track of some worksheets

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sigma gives us super simple tools to analyze and visualize data from dozens of different sources. It works seamlessly, and is far easier to use than any similar tool I've used.

  ### 47. Great but has issues

Sigma is incredibly user friendly, making it simple for team members of all skill levels and competencies to conduct data analysis with code (SQL) and create dashboards and other visualizations. Their customer success team is also very responsive, providing support and following up on things like bug reports and feature requests.

**What do you dislike about Sigma?**

There is a lack of functionality to schedule queries and dashboards to refresh. Additionally, there are some small formatting and UI functionalities that can be improved (i.e. easily resizing column widths).

**What problems is Sigma solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used for analyzing large datasets and creating dashboards and visualizations
