What do you like best about Shimo Office?

The single consolidated dashboard for every VPN and SSH tunnel is a game-changer for our Stuttgart-based network team. Its tamper-proof encrypted access logs tick every box for BSI IT-Grundschutz audit evidence, no extra log aggregator needed. Batch tunnel rollout also slashes hours of repetitive manual setup when we deploy remote access across dozens of our German SME clients’ on-prem hardware stacks. What do you dislike about Shimo Office?

There’s no built-in German interface, and there aren’t any ready-made export formats tailored to BSI audit reporting rules. Log data can’t auto-sync to our firm’s Nextcloud archive for mandatory long-term data retention, so one of our admins wastes hours weekly on manual file exports. Bulk permission adjustments are unintuitive too, slowing down large-scale client network configuration jobs significantly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shimo Office solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before adopting it, our team juggled dozens of separate VPN clients and standalone SSH tools, leaving fragmented, incomplete access trails that risked failing official German security audits. Shimo locks all credentials and connection records in one controlled space, removing blind spots in remote infrastructure access. Audit preparation time has dropped noticeably, and standardized tunnel workflows make remote hardware maintenance and network upgrades far smoother for our mid-market client portfolio.
