What do you like best about Shareholder Vote Exchange?

The platform is quite easy to navigate and feels very modern. But aesthetics aside, the platform functions incredibly well also. I was able to sign up in approximately 5 mins and then I verified 3 shareholder votes for stocks I owned within 5 minutes.

I would have verified more shareholder votes but the other votes I had were for meeting that had passed.

Today (now that I’m writing this review) I am happy to report the shareholder votes I listed for sale in 3 meetings all were sold. Two were sold for just a couple cents per vote (I had a hundred shares so I made a couple bucks), but the other one sold for nearly $0.35 per vote! And I had 50 votes to sell! I basically made $20 using the stocks that were already in my portfolio.

I’m surprised a platform / service like this has not popped up in the past. I’m pleasantly surprised to have found the Shareholder Vote Exchange. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shareholder Vote Exchange?

The different ways you can verify your shareholder votes is confusing. At the moment they have 3 ways and maybe in the future they will add even more - but I hope they simplify the process. It really doesn’t need to be this complex.

The way I used is called “manual verify” and all I had to do was enter in the Ticker and the Control number. For one of the meetings, I got the Control number from the proxy document that was in the mail. For the other 2 meetings, the Control number was from the proxy vote email I received.

You can also verify by forwarding them your proxy email. But there’s no way I can forward them my paper document. This is not one size fits all!!!!!!

Then there is the Automated verify service. If you enroll, they will automatically verify your shareholder votes for sale. But this service only works with Gmail and I don’t use gmail unfortunately Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Shareholder Vote Exchange solving and how is that benefiting you?

The Shareholder Vote Exchange is able to help individual investors generate additional income on their stocks. I have no use for the shareholder votes I get - in fact it makes my email inbox more cluttered. I asked my brokerage to stop sending me the shareholder proxy votes but they said they are legally required to send them. However, the Shareholder Vote Exchange offers a way to monetize the shareholder votes. I plan to re-invest the proceeds back into my portfolio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
