What do you like best about Shadcn Studio - Shadcn UI Components, Blocks & Templates?

We run an IT services company plus we build our own SaaS products, so frontend work never stops for us. Before this, our devs were building the same hero sections, pricing tables and dashboard layouts again and again for every client project.

shadcn studio fixed that. The blocks are copy paste ready and they actually look good out of the box. My team mostly uses the marketing blocks and dashboard blocks. The CLI install works clean with our Next.js setup, no weird dependencies pulled in.

Two things I personally like most. First, you own the code. It sits in your repo like you wrote it, so no vendor lock worry when we hand over projects to clients. Second, the theme generator. We match client brand colors in minutes instead of a designer going back and forth for days.

The MCP server support was a nice surprise. Our devs use it inside Cursor and it pulls the right blocks while they work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Shadcn Studio - Shadcn UI Components, Blocks & Templates?

A few honest points. Some block categories still feel thin, like datatables and bento grids have less variety compared to marketing blocks. We had to customize more there.

The free tier is quite limited, so trying things properly before paying is a bit hard. Also docs are good for setup but could use more real examples for editing blocks deeply, like changing layout structure, not just colors.

What problems is Shadcn Studio - Shadcn UI Components, Blocks & Templates solving and how is that benefiting you?

Main problem is UI build time. For client projects, our frontend devs were spending the first week just setting up basic pages. With these blocks that dropped to a day or two. On a 30 person team where we run multiple client projects at once, that time saving directly affects our margins.

For our own products too, we used blocks to put landing and marketing pages together fast, so devs stayed focused on the core product instead of fighting CSS.

Second problem is design consistency. Junior devs used to ship UIs that all looked slightly different. Now everyone starts from the same blocks and theme, so output looks like one team built it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
