I find SEON extremely valuable for its ready-made PEP, sanction, and OFAC monitoring lists, which save me from the hassle of having to build or integrate my own. I also appreciate its transaction monitoring traits that offer insights such as other companies reporting a user as fraudulent or a 'phone network score.' The overall integration of SEON's systems is impressive, particularly in transaction monitoring and rule building. It provides a comprehensive view with different fields and my custom fields. The rule building can be somewhat limited and difficult to backtest. There are some blue-moon omissions I cannot do in rule building easily, like checking for a person's first-time transaction; there's no easy toggle for that. Or checking if a person used a certain payment method for the first time; there's no easy way to make that. I have to use velocity rules, which can get complicated, fast.
