The UI is clean and easy to navigate, and it’s helped me trace column-level lineage across some pretty complex models without having to dig through layers of SQL manually. That alone saves me a lot of time. **What do you dislike about Select Star?** Select Star’s been useful for lineage and metadata, but it’s not without flaws. The lineage view can get messy with large datasets, and sometimes it’s hard to filter down to what you actually need. The popularity and usage metrics are helpful, but not always accurate. It’s great for surfacing insights, but not something I’d rely on as a source of truth without a second look. **What problems is Select Star solving and how is that benefiting you?** Select Star helps solve the problem of data discoverability and tribal knowledge. Before, it was hard to know which tables were actually being used, who owned them, or how things were connected without asking around or digging through SQL. Full set up including things like field definitions, ownership of items looks as if it will be time consuming for all team members. We are early in our implementation but the AI feature has already been super helpful in finding fields that I don't know the location of inside of snowflake! **What do you dislike about Select Star?** Things like the popularity or view counts of a dashboard, table etc. seem to be limited to Select Star users. Would be much more beneficial to have popularity (especially for dashboards) be based on actual end user views. **What problems is Select Star solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a large data ecosphere including AWS, snowflake, fivetran, dbt, powerbi etc. Keeping these platforms documented and in sync can be challenging. I work with a large data warehouse, and often am consuming tables that have been through many DBTs. It's lineage is a good way to get to the base data without manually reading and following the SQL myself **What do you dislike about Select Star?** I find that for tables with many dependencies, it's sometimes hard to visualise which parts of the query are resulting in which aspect of the lineage. It also surfaces tables that I don't have read access to in Snowflake when I try to read them. **What problems is Select Star solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's providing insights into what is available for me to query, and how to debug data when the outcome is not what I anticipate ### 6.
