Also, working with cluster level read and write interactions are done such that with a few commands this could be easily handled. **What do you dislike about ScyllaDB?** Not much of a negative but more detail and documentation around shard's in ScyllaDB could be referenced. Also, some details on the architecture in relation to the shards in ScyllaDB could be clarified **What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use it for distributed computing and managing nodes and clusters along with data replication. ScyllaDB also has a strong focus on not being a RDBMS but something where I could do this via a NoSQL Approach. ### 2. The Scylla clusters with automatic backup are accessed by ScyllaDB, I like the performance of ScyllaDB and security hardening aswell. **What do you dislike about ScyllaDB?** I dislike about the context switch, the threads require a context switch that is slow and also the lack of multi partition transactions, these are dislikes in my opinion. **What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problems I'm solving with ScyllaDB is to store the unstructured data. And also the cloud is the best. I can manage clusters with automatic backup as well. So overall ScyllaDB is the best in my opinion. ### 5. The flexibility of having CQL and easy migration is an added bonus on top of the consistency. **What do you dislike about ScyllaDB?** We haven't tried it production grade environment yet to find flaws, but one thing we didn't like is that the UI is a bit confusing at the beginning (especially for non-devs). **What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being used in test environment for data heavy application which requires consistent data at all times! Making data available at a consistent rate, open-source, uses much faster language (C++) at core. ### 7. Our users love the speed and consistency when viewing device data. Combine that with 99.9% uptime over 2 years and excellent support. **What do you dislike about ScyllaDB?** Pricey, but comparable to other solutions. Managed Enterprise offering made sense for us, but can see it being a roadblock for others. There was a bit of a learning curve. Recommend the Scylla University modules and user training sessions. **What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have many devices streaming data to the cloud. On the flip side, we have many users querying device data to help run their businesses. With managed ScyllaDB, we focus on delivering value add apps and services for our customers. So fast! **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 26, 2018 **What do you like best about ScyllaDB?** The speed of writing and reading, along with maximizing resources in a zero-config way for servers where it's installed is insanely useful, even if it's not completely API-complete against Cassandra. **What do you dislike about ScyllaDB?** The license (Affero) was too restrictive for our organization, so we had to pass on using it, despite the ease-of-use and speed benefits. **Recommendations to others considering ScyllaDB:** If you can afford the Enterprise license or are not bundling it with a solution for sale it is a no-brainer for the use case of storing dynamic tables **What problems is ScyllaDB solving and how is that benefiting you?** We would use it as a backend store for longitunidal patient data by data type.
