I like that SAS Enterprise Guide connects pretty easily, and it's pretty quick at getting you in. We have multiple SAS environments, and it makes it easy using the profiles to switch between them. Using SAS tasks or the import wizard to transfer the final product or source data up to the unit server from NAS shares and local file systems is something I can't do in other tools, and the right-click exports are also helpful. I find it hard to interrupt the job in SAS Enterprise Guide, and it's just not as fast as SAS Studio. They could modernize the UI to make tasks and copy files more elegant and streamlined. People don't really get what the copy files task is capable of, and they don't find the share objects feature very intuitive. It could be better to define those things in your workflows. Also, it would be more helpful if SAS Enterprise Guide had a better integrated SQL tool and was better at understanding layout and providing suggestions to optimize data access.
