## Litmos Reviews
  ### 1. “Litmos: increasingly complete with new features”

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pierre R. | Java Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2022

**What do you like best about Litmos?**

Litmos is facilitating learning beyond formal courses:

Social learning: The platform encourages interaction between users, allowing them to learn from each other through forums and discussions.

Real-world learning tracking: With xAPI technology, Litmos can track learning activities that occur outside the platform, such as participating in an event or practicing a skill, and record them as part of the user's progress.

**What do you dislike about Litmos?**

Litmos reports are functional and easy to use for basic tasks, but for more complex and detailed analyses, they may be less robust. Organizations that need to go beyond course completion data to understand the impact of learning on job performance, skills trends, or ROI (return on investment) may need more sophisticated analysis tools. A more dynamic reporting dashboard with greater filtering options would be a significant improvement.

**Recommendations to others considering Litmos:**

I recommend SAP Litmos for the following reasons:
It is crucial to note that SAP Litmos is a customization-aware system, it provides training-ready content.
It can be configured to provide comprehensive learning paths, including lesson plans, courses, modules, and stand-alone assignments.

**What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduce the cost of training for your company, compared to in-person instruction, you can save money.
Improve your training procedures by providing reliable data to determine where modifications are needed in the training process.
Increases the effectiveness of employee training.
It allows you to create content with the standards and specifications to create structured pedagogical objects, which is advantageous and interactive, apparently like a game between the participants.
SAP Litmos lets you access content anytime, anywhere, with content available 24 hours a day.
Learning and AI can be tailored to your preferences.
Encourages participants and instructors to interact, promoting collaborative learning.

  ### 2. Litmos is a customizable LMS with lots of bells and whistles.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2024

**What do you like best about Litmos?**

We use Litmos everyday as a way to deliver online learning content to our staff. We transitioned to Litmos several years ago from another LMS, so we did have some basic knowledge of how we wanted things to function and what we wanted the Learner's experience to look like. We were able to get up and running with Litmos fairly quickly and incorporate single sign on for our employees. Throughout the years they have added several new features and made improvements to some of their existing features. Litmos gives us the ability to make certain content only available to a specific group of employees by utilizing their teams feature, which is very important to our company. The Litmos assign feature makes it easy to make sure that employees are assigned to the teams and content that are relevant to their job rob. From the Learner’s aspect, navigation is pretty easy and does have search capabilities. We utilize the deep link URL’s frequently and it works really well for our employees, especially during compliance month. The bulk upload feature makes it really quick and easy to upload new learners or to adjust the profiles of existing learners when their job role changes.

**What do you dislike about Litmos?**

The customer service experience is not the greatest. You can only receive support by filling out a long form online and the someone will message you back on the portal. The follow up to some of the tickets we have submitted has taken weeks or longer or we've been given a "it's supposed to work like that" response. Reporting could also use some improvement; it can be very slow and sometimes you have to run several types of reports to get all the info you need for a specific course. Team leader reporting times out all the time in the quick reports and doesn't give them the access to create their own reports in the reporting engine. It would also be helpful to have the option to lock an esignature module once the learner has completed it.

**What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most of our employees are completely virtual now and having an LMS with Litmos is crucial in order to deliver learning and compliance content to our employees. Providing an electronic learning transcript has been helpful in documenting concerns with poor performing employees.

  ### 3. Seems too complicated

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa M. | Vice President of Organizational Development, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Litmos?**

Some of the reporting capabilities. I do like how you can link and mirror courses.

**What do you dislike about Litmos?**

Support. It is disconnected and not great. We have many glitches, and some functionality doesn't work like we hoped or thought it would. I still can't even access the new help ticketing system, and frankly, I can't find someone to help me troubleshoot. We had an integration call lined up with Litmos, and they never showed up, which was a waste of my team's time and our IT person.

**Recommendations to others considering Litmos:**

If you want personalized support, go somewhere else. There are some fundamental limitations to this system around basic functionality. I do not see using this long-term.

**What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to provide a seamless learning experience for our employees. There are still glitches and some manual processes that are laborious and take up too much time.

**Official Response from Kristin Simpson-Lane:**

> Hey Lisa! I first want to thank you for your candid review, individuals like yourself are who can help us improve our product. Secondly, I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing so many issues. In order for us to better serve you, please reach out directly to your account manager with this issue so that they can assist you. If you are unsure who your account manager is please reach out directly to our team at sales@litmos.com and someone will provide you with that information. We hope to help ease your concerns and be able get your company back on the right training with SAP Litmos.

  ### 4. Best LMS to start with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zack B. | Marketing Dir, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 14, 2020

**What do you like best about Litmos?**

*User Friendly GUI
*Easy Multi Account access - we started with 1 account soon grow up to 3 accounts with ease
*Easy to explain to end-users and on-board (On boarded 300pax in week time)
*Support/csm is wonderful team. helped me to get up and running fast.
* easy to upload courses.

**What do you dislike about Litmos?**

SFDC Integration is Lean
Assessment tool is basic
Reporting took a while to get used to. over the year got way better.

**What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New Hire, Partner Training, Customer Training.
Easy to use and deply.

  ### 5. SAP Litmos user review

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2020

**What do you like best about Litmos?**

It is an enterprise wide system with extended enterprise capability so that employees as well as customers/partners can access learning content via the LMS.

**What do you dislike about Litmos?**

Reporting features are very poor. You can only get high level data and the reports are not very easy to use. Without investing IT time and integration money we are unable to overlay our HR org so that we can report in depth down to the Manager / team level.
Also, the user experience in SAP Litmos is not very good for the end user. Not as modern as other systems. Also, limited skills integration for planning, assessing, tracking skills and serving up content by skill needs etc.

**Recommendations to others considering Litmos:**

Do your homework and make sure you see real world demo of all features you require and ask deep questions to ensure the service/feature you need can be delivered as you need it.

**What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has served us as a basic system for all employees and customers/partners to have access to learning content. The overall experience, and value derived is limited though.

  ### 6. Easy to use, great user interface and reporting functionality - sometimes functionality is too basic

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Government Administration | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Litmos?**

It looks great and is easy for users to find content they need. From an admin point of view it is easy to manage course enrolments and sign people up for courses in bulk. The reporting function works well and is intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Litmos?**

The exam/quiz/assessment functionality is too basic for our needs. Users cannot flag questions to return back to or see all the questions in advance. It is not a practical solution for long exams.

**Recommendations to others considering Litmos:**

If you need a simple slick product go for Litmos. If you want to have more developed functionality on exams embedded on the LMS, give it a miss.

**What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a nicer user experience for both users and admins. It is a pleasure to use.

  ### 7. User friendly and cost effective solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miriam C. | L&D Technical and Design Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2019

**What do you like best about Litmos?**

The two major deciding factors when we chose Litmos as our LMS were: friendly and easy to learn UI and cost effective solution. We were able to have a fully deployed customized LMS in a week, and the option of adding off-the-shelf content through the Litmos Heroes is very helpful for compliance and generic soft skills training.

**What do you dislike about Litmos?**

SAP Litmos still has a long way to go regarding reporting capabilities. It is not a user friendly module, require a lot of manual work from the admin. We are hoping that one day the admins will get full access to all the tables so we can generate the reports we need, the way we need them and when we need them.

**Recommendations to others considering Litmos:**

Make sure you research and demo several LMS platforms and choose the one that fits your organization best. One size doesn't fit all.

**What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having online training available for our employees 24/7 anywhere in the world is saving us a lot of money and time, especially for compliance training. Having a centralized platform to deploy training and keep records is also extremely helpful. SAP Litmos helps us also with providing a consistent onboarding basic training experience for all our new hires.

  ### 8. Overall a great system to implement

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Litmos?**

My account manager Scott has been very helpful with all of the questions I have had and so has the Customer Success Manager that I have worked with a lot Sydnie. The Litmos Dojo is great for helping new account owners get up to speed on all the ways to make your instance uniquely yours. Our business is very segmented, so the Teams feature has really helped us identify and track employees based on common training goals.

**What do you dislike about Litmos?**

Litmos updates courses frequently, however when new content is released, you have to have it provisioned to your account by your account manager. I feel it would be better to be pushed automatically. Additionally, the updated courses are rolled out as an entirely new course instead of replacing the previous version. This has led to challenges with the older version of the courses not functioning properly and I have had to create multiple learning paths with the same courses and push out the newest version to prevent employee issues. In some cases I have had to manually transfer the credit for the previous version of the course to the new version because the employee isn't due to repeat the course for another 6-8 months.

Customization of your instance can be a challenge unless you are very familiar with CSS. Litmos just rolled out major reporting engine changes which so far have been great. I would love to see major changes to their customization page. A tool with the CSS written within your Litmos instance to make basic changing of text colors, minor layout changes, and graphic placement would be amazing for me. I am currently a training team of one and I do not have the CSS skills necessary to do more than some basic customization. While the Dojo does have some great samples available and I did receive amazing support at SAP Live from the experts, it can still be a challenge to build things like this out if it is not your forte.

**What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have employees across the nation and using Litmos ensures all of our employees are receiving the same content. This is very important to us when it comes to being compliant with the ever changing laws around Sexual Harassment education, specifically in NY and CA.

  ### 9. Support is Lacking

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Networking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Litmos?**

The system features allow us to accomplish our basic needs to support training for a global training organization.

**What do you dislike about Litmos?**

The support is often lacking, for simple issues we receive timely responses and solutions but often that is not the case. We have experienced support tickets that are open for months with no resolution, and lack of response from the support team. I have to follow up over and over on a ticket for an answer, the answer is usually "we're working on it" with no solution in sight. The support documentation is also lacking forcing you to go to the team for help, it would be nice if there were some instruction manuals or videos to turn to.

**What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We deliver training globally and also work with third party organizations to deliver training on our behalf. We use SAP Litmos to post schedules for all training including instructor-led and eLearning, track student registrations, collect payments, send communications, and view reporting data.

  ### 10. Good Corporate LMS with Limited Reporting

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2018

**What do you like best about Litmos?**

I like how easy it is to upload my elearning content, whether I have created it in Camtasia, Articulate, or directly within Litmos (for example an assessment). My content will load quite quickly and looks great in the player. The quiz options are basic, but has most of what we need.

**What do you dislike about Litmos?**

We find the reporting to be a bit weak, for example there are many features I can see in the program, however I am unable to produce a usable Excel report for these features. The Manager feature is a good example of this, as well as External Learning.

**What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to track course completion for employees is a gap we are filling with Litmos and are happy to be able to see real-time figures at a glance as to how many employees may have completed a specific course. This is helping us to resolve compliance issues that have been a problem in the past.

  ### 11. Director of Organizational Development

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victoria T. | Director of Professional and Organizational Development, Non-Profit Organization Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2017

**What do you like best about Litmos?**

I love the look and interface of Litmos and all the reporting features that it offers. It is very user friendly and our participants say it's fun and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Litmos?**

The discussion boards need some work; it's very basic and doesn't allow for as much interactivity as we hoped. The admin features could also be more versatile for teams. It would be nice to allow team admins to edit and view the assignments. There are a couple of other things that didn't sync well with our other interfaces that limited our capability when it comes to utilized learning paths. I am also disappointed in the badges feature. We were excited to offer this to our customers and the ability to share on LinkedIn; but right now when they do that, it doesn't show the badge we created and our business logo, instead it shows Litmos. We voiced our concern and it hasn't been resolved. This is a feature we've turned off in the time being due to that.

**Recommendations to others considering Litmos:**

When it comes to LMS decisions you want to ensure that it's right for your user and also right for your business model. Because we have many external clients, we needed a LMS that offered us a unique pricing model because we weren't sure how often our users would login. The first year was a learning period and we are happy to say we made the right choice with Litmos. They are the best if you need flexibility in that area.

**What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to expand out reach in the nonprofit sector now that we can offer training's online. We are also able to offer different programs and services thanks to the ability to monitor and control participants progress. It has opened so many doors for expanding our business reach and look at other target markets as well.

  ### 12. Education Manager

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2016

**What do you like best about Litmos?**

It is extremely easy to use. Creating courses is quick and intuitive. We can link to content on our other websites, upload videos and documents, and create assessments and checklists in minutes. The interface for both admins and learners is user-friendly and looks great.

**What do you dislike about Litmos?**

The biggest hurdle has been some of the limitations in managing assessments. We love to provide feedback on assessments - regardless of whether the learner was marked correct or incorrect. It is difficult for them to view that feedback right now. We currently copy and paste our feedback and send manually to the learner. If this was addressed we would have zero complaints!

**What problems is Litmos solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows us to provide training/learning content to users all over the country when it's most convenient for them. The reporting is basic but allows all admins to get the information they need to view their team members progress.

We initially adopted this program for new hire onboarding. It has allowed us to expand our continued learning much more than we anticipated.
