What do you like best about SAP Integrated Product Development?

What I like most about SAP Integrated Product Development is the way it centralizes and streamlines the entire product lifecycle—from concept through execution—within a single platform. Its strong integration with other SAP modules helps keep data consistent and minimizes duplicated work across teams.

The collaboration capabilities are especially valuable because they enable stakeholders across engineering, operations, and business to work together more effectively, with real-time visibility into product data and ongoing changes. As a result, our coordination and decision-making have improved significantly.

I also appreciate the structured workflows and built-in traceability, which support compliance and make it easier to follow product changes or investigate issues when they arise. What do you dislike about SAP Integrated Product Development?

One of the biggest drawbacks of SAP Integrated Product Development is its complexity, particularly for new users. The learning curve is often steep, and proper training is usually needed to fully understand the system and use all of its features effectively.

The user interface can also feel less intuitive than more modern tools, which may slow adoption across teams. In some situations, simply navigating through multiple layers of configuration and workflows becomes time-consuming.
