"A Scalable, Flexible Commerce Foundation with Strong Salesforce Integration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

What I like most about Salesforce B2C Commerce is that it can serve as a strong foundation for complex, high-volume e-commerce ecosystems, while still connecting commerce with the broader Salesforce platform.

Having worked on Salesforce Order Management as a product and across complex e-commerce integration ecosystems, I’ve seen firsthand how difficult it is to connect storefronts with inventory, payments, fulfillment, customer service, ERP, logistics, and downstream order processes. What I appreciate about B2C Commerce is that it gives architects a solid commerce foundation while allowing those surrounding capabilities to be integrated rather than forcing everything into one platform.

I particularly like the ability to design the commerce journey across catalog → pricing/promotions → cart → checkout → order → fulfillment → post-purchase service and then connect that journey with Salesforce capabilities such as Service, Marketing, Data 360, and OMS.

What stands out to me personally is the architectural flexibility. In the e-commerce implementations I’ve worked on, there is rarely a single system that owns the entire customer journey. B2C Commerce fits well into that reality—you can use it where it provides the most value while integrating it with the rest of the enterprise ecosystem.

For me, that combination of scalable commerce capabilities, extensibility, and integration with the broader Salesforce ecosystem is what makes B2C Commerce particularly compelling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salesforce B2C Commerce?

What I find most challenging about B2C Commerce is that the platform can become quite complex once you move beyond a standard commerce implementation. In the e-commerce ecosystems I’ve worked with, the storefront is only one piece of the puzzle—the real complexity comes from integrating Commerce with OMS, ERP, payment gateways, inventory, tax, fulfillment, logistics, and customer service platforms.
