## Salary.com Reviews
 ### 1. Accurate, Industry-Specific Compensation Data You Can Trust

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lance J. | Sr. Director, EQMS & EHS, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I’ve used Salary.com mainly to research compensation information for current employees, as well as for potential future hires and roles. Being able to narrow the results based on our industry, company size, location, and other variables helps me feel more confident that the information is accurate and relevant.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Many of the roles I researched had levels from I-V. The job description seemed to remain the same for each level, with only slight changes to reflect to whom that role would typically report and amount of experience required. More distinction between levels would have helped.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Two main benefits:
1. Investigating whether current employees are being fairly compensated and are in line with industry averages.
2. When considering a new hire - especially for a new role - it helps to be able to view existing job descriptions and general requirements for specific roles. This comes in handy when we need to advertise for a position.

 ### 2. Easy Access to Updated Compensation Data with Flexible Mapping and Exports

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle S. | Head of People Operations, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I enjoy having easy access to updated compensation data, the ability to map that data to our specific job families and titles, and the option to export data and reports to share with internal team members.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Right now, my only issue is the amount of time it takes to review and align similar job titles and salary data with our internal roles. I suspect that incorporating AI will help streamline this, making the process easier and more efficient.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The service allows us to obtain recent, accurate compensation data so we can make informed decisions. It also helps counter the emotions and perceptions about what the market pays that sometimes come from leaders in our organization who base their views on what they hear or on a job posting they’ve read.

 ### 3. Effortless Salary Analysis and Alignment

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meggie W. | Intern, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like how easy it is to scope out key specifics to compare salary ranges as we hire in different states. This helps us present competitive salaries against the market. I also find it useful that we can add different states or years of experience to figure out the baseline of our salary and develop a better range to negotiate with the hire. The initial setup was very easy, and our account manager is great.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

I find accessing job titles within the same field challenging, especially when it comes to seeing the promotional job title timeline of a position and adding a new job code. Also, the job code in the description doesn't always match the three-digit job code, which can be confusing.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Salary.com for compensation data analysis, helping align salaries with state standards and experience. It simplifies comparing salary ranges across states, making negotiations easier by developing better ranges.

 ### 4. Excellent tool for Comp Analysis

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Staffing and Recruiting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

Their comp analysis tool is great. It’s easy to use, has strong data, and is customizable to the specific information you’re looking for. We use their tool a lot, and it’s been a big help with our clients.

Their customer support has also been excellent. My contact person is easy to reach and consistently helpful.

One minor downside is that for salaries in the EU, there’s still missing salary data for certain jobs. Occasionally, we also see salary ranges that feel far from reality. We currently don’t use integrations, so there isn’t much I can say about that. Pricing is handled by my colleagues, so I can’t comment in detail, but they’ve said it was reasonable. I also haven’t used their AI tools yet, but it’s something I should check out.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

Their website can be a bit slow. It can take a while for information to load/update. As mentioned before missing data for certain jobs in EU.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its helping us find comp data for our clients allowing us to help them better and in more detail.

**Official Response from Ashley Iannuzzi:**

> Thank you for your review. Glad to hear CompAnalyst is helping you find compensation data for your clients. Many of our customers would agree that a major benefit to the tool is just how easy it is to use. We understand you are experiencing performance issues. While there could be a variety of reasons for slow load times like internet connection or due to our large database, please be assured our team is constantly working to fine-tune our performance.

 ### 5. Easy to Navigate with Great Job Variety and Benchmarking Tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Biotechnology | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

I like the variety of jobs that are available for me to compare. For the most part the website is also easy to navigate. The tools that Salary.com offers allows me to properly benchmark my employees in my company.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

At times when I save a job, I have no idea where they go, as in what folder they end up in. Other than this, there isn't much that I don't like about Salary.com.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salary.com has allowed me to benchmark my employees and pay them appropriately. I love that you find a job and that you are able to match all the different duties, capabilities, and so on in order for that particular job to be matched as correctly as possible. Salary.com has also saved me time and allows me to be a better head of human resources for my company.

I really like how easy the system is to use. Everything feels straightforward and simple to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

So far, I’m pleased with the system and how it’s been working for me. I just need a bit more time to learn and get comfortable with all of its features.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using Salary.com, I spent a lot of time manually searching across multiple systems to find the data I needed. Now I can search for data in several areas at the same time, which has significantly reduced the time it takes to gather everything.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Management Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Salary.com?**

The platform is simple to use and the graphical interface is attractive. I really like the AI that is built into the tool to assist with searches that I am working upon.

**What do you dislike about Salary.com?**

It was not the most intuitive tool to utilize at first. However, once I was able to recognize that it is like any successful search, defining the task, context, and reference helped to yield a better outcome.

The built in support could be better as well.

**What problems is Salary.com solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I utilize Salary.com on a regular basis with my team to help understand how the growth of our organization will impact our overall spend on employees. It is also helpful in seeing trends in salaries in the markets in which we operate.
