What do you like best about Sage X3?

I value how Sage X3 keeps physical warehouse movements and our financial ledger in sync across multiple facilities. When stock is received, moved between bins, or dispatched, batch and lot histories, bin counts, COGS, and journal entries update immediately, so purchasing, warehouse managers, and accounting work from the same source of truth. The network-wide available-to-promise visibility helps us route orders from the location that makes the most logistical sense, and inter-warehouse transfers stay visible in an interim ledger status. This has helped us avoid double allocations, reduce redundant safety stock and rush purchase orders, and meet delivery deadlines with less inter-facility friction. I also appreciate the audit-ready traceability and the time we save on spreadsheet cross-checking, reconciliation, and month-end close. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sage X3?

I find Sage X3’s interface utilitarian, dense, and click-heavy. Routine tasks take too many clicks through nested screens, and new hires can take weeks to get comfortable without dedicated shadow training. When a validation check or batch transfer fails, I often get cryptic, code-heavy errors instead of clear guidance. Minor workflow and screen changes also rely too much on technical consultants or custom scripting. Getting set up was far from easy: it took an experienced implementation partner and several months of internal work to standardize our legacy data, remap our accounts, and configure our workflows. The interface still has a steep learning curve, and success depends heavily on a skilled implementation team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
