"The GoTo IDE for Ruby development"
5/5
What do you like best about RubyMine?

I was using Sublime for very long time (roughly around 7 years) and was very confident that Sublime was the best suited for Ruby development until I found Rubymine. Rubymine is awesome in a lot of things.

1. Ease of use - You get all your relevant services like Docker, database, mailers, Redis, and much more in a single window.

2. Intelligent enough - Rubymine senses your coding style and adapts accordingly. Definition navigation is so easy, where it can easily find even if you have written delegators (normally other IDEs like VS Code don't do this correctly).

3. Gem's source file access - You can get access to the source files of Gems easily.

4. Lots of add-ons - It comes with lots of add-ons like GitHub's Copilot, Docker client, and more.

5. Customer support was great in case of any issues with your licensing.

6. Ease of implementation - You could set up Rubymine in less than 15 minutes.

7. Ease of integration - Codebase integration with existing projects or a new project is like a cakewalk.

8. Frequency of use - My primary IDE for Ruby development work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about RubyMine?

1. It is a bit priced high, though I still feel it's worthy.

2. It consumes a lot of memory sometimes.

3. Since everything is in one window, sometimes you may feel clumsy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
