"REVIEW of Roslyn. A great compiler for .NET platform."

What do you like best about Roslyn?

I am a regular programmer of C# and .NET and the native compiler we get with Windows in Visual Studio. What I wanted was a compiler as a service solution, and Roslyn provides that. The best feature about Roslyn is when the application we are writing needs a scripting interface. With Roslyn, we get scripts compiled as the original C# code, with the same programming capabilities as the application source. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Roslyn?

The only thing that I feel might be a challenge is that implementing Roslyn can be slightly tricky for beginners. So the learning curve is a bit difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Roslyn solving and how is that benefiting you?

Roslyn allows for the implementation of aspect-oriented programming. There are certain advantages of using Roslyn, such as policy login, then it has a really great exception handling, it allows for automatic auditing of various types of function calls, it automatically generates different types of properties for automatic properties, and it also has a really great thread synchronization system that is for multithreading, providing a really good way of using it.
