"Rootstock Cloud ERP: A Powerful, 100% Native Salesforce ERP Architecture"

4/5

What do you like best about Rootstock Cloud ERP?

The standout feature of Rootstock Cloud ERP is its architecture: it’s 100% native to the Salesforce platform. Rootstock brings the heavy, complex logic of an ERP directly into Salesforce’s declarative environment, which helps remove the traditional walls between the back office and the front office. What do you dislike about Rootstock Cloud ERP?

Rootstock is a massive, highly complex managed package. Because the core Apex code is hidden, debugging a failed transaction often comes down to deciphering vague managed-package error messages or leaning heavily on Rootstock support. On top of that, keeping the system current takes a significant administrative lift. Even moving a routine patch from a UAT sandbox into production is rarely a casual deployment; it typically demands rigorous, time-consuming regression testing, since a single metadata update can cascade in unexpected ways across tightly coupled financial, inventory, and manufacturing objects. What problems is Rootstock Cloud ERP solving and how is that benefiting you?

Rootstock Cloud ERP solved what was, for me, the single biggest headache in enterprise technology: a fragmented data stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thank you for such a technically precise review. You've described the architecture exactly as we'd hope: 100% native to the Salesforce platform, bringing full ERP logic (financials, inventory, manufacturing) into Salesforce's declarative environment and removing the walls between front office and back office. Solving the fragmented data stack is the reason Rootstock Cloud ERP exists.

Your critique is equally fair. Managed-package error messages that don't tell an admin enough, and release management that demands heavy regression testing, are real costs of a deeply integrated ERP. These are areas we're actively working to improve, including a user-centered experience where errors provide a clear next step toward resolution, architectural improvements that reduce the testing radius for each release, and tools that enable customer admins to more completely understand and explore Rootstock releases. In the meantime, our support and customer success teams can share regression testing approaches other customers use to de-risk deployments. These specific examples of unclear errors are genuinely useful to us, so please keep flagging them!

Thank you for the thoughtful review. We appreciate you taking the time!
