What do you like best about Revolte?

What I like most about Revolte is how its AI agents connect the different parts of feature delivery. Instead of treating implementation, testing, infrastructure validation, and deployment as separate steps, the agents work across the workflow while maintaining the context from one stage to the next. As a Principal Engineer, I used to spend a surprising amount of time coordinating this process. Development would implement the feature, QA would test it separately, and platform or infrastructure teams would run their own checks. Even when everyone was working efficiently, there were still handoffs, status checks, and a lot of back-and-forth. Revolte's agentic AI takes over much of that execution work. The AI software engineer can work from the actual feature requirements and code changes, generate relevant tests, check infrastructure requirements, and prepare the information needed for deployment and review. What makes it useful at my level is that I can spend more time reviewing the architecture and technical decisions instead of coordinating the work needed to get there. The AI handles the execution and validation, but engineers still control the important decisions through explicit approval gates. That balance is important to us. We're using AI to move the work forward, not handing over engineering responsibility to an automated system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revolte?

The initial setup requires some effort. We had to map our repositories, engineering standards, infrastructure requirements, and deployment workflows before the agents could work effectively within our process. It's reasonable for a system that needs to understand how an engineering organization actually works, but I wouldn't describe the initial configuration as completely plug-and-play. What problems is Revolte solving and how is that benefiting you?

A significant amount of my time was going into coordination rather than engineering. For a larger feature, I could easily spend 3–4 hours checking whether development was complete, waiting for test results, confirming infrastructure validation, and making sure everything was ready for review. None of that work required Principal Engineer-level judgment, but it still had to get done. Revolte's autonomous agents have taken a lot of that coordination work off my plate. They can generate tests based on the implementation, validate infrastructure readiness, identify issues across the workflow, and prepare deployment-related documentation. Instead of collecting information from different teams and tools, I can review a much more complete set of results in one place. For us, features that previously took 2–3 days to move through the full process can now get to a deployment-ready state in roughly a day. The bigger benefit, though, is how that changes my role. I'm spending less time acting as a coordinator and more time on architecture, technical strategy, design reviews, and mentoring the team. That's a much better use of Principal Engineer time.
