""I would cut my hand off if I had to go back to Autocad""
What do you like best about Revit?

Everthing. I love how it forces you to think in three dimensions like an architect should. Well suited for construction documents. Every year it gets better and better with new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revit?

The learning curve was a little steep but once you get over it, everything becomes intuitive. My biggest dislike is the high price tag that comes with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful BIM, Needs Better Performance Optimization"
What do you like best about Revit?

I use Revit for Building Information Modeling, and I like its parametric modeling where every element—walls, doors, beams, or ducts—has embedded parameters defining their behavior and relationships. One of Revit's biggest advantages is that it treats the entire model as a single, data-rich database. Every component carries its own parameters such as dimensions, materials, costs, and performance data, which can be extracted into schedules or exported to external tools without losing accuracy. Revit's centralized data management ensures that all drawings, schedules, and quantities stay automatically synchronized, greatly improving accuracy and coordination across disciplines. The initial setup of Revit was straightforward, especially with Autodesk Account licensing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revit?

It performs well overall, but large models can become slow and resource-intensive. File sizes grow quickly, and collaboration across disciplines can suffer from sync delays. Improved performance optimization, faster rendering, and better interoperability with non-Autodesk tools would make it even more efficient. Beyond performance and interoperability, Revit could benefit from more flexible modeling tools for complex geometry and facades systems, which currently require workarounds or Dynamo scripts. "Revit Elevates Architectural Design with Integrated 3D Models"
What do you like best about Revit?

I use Revit for architectural design and it helps me solve several key challenges. It allows me to create accurate 3D models and automatically generates plans, sections, and elevations. What I like most about Revit is the BIM-based workflow. Being able to work in a single coordinated 3D model and have all drawings update automatically when changes are made is a huge advantage. In addition to the coordinated model, I find features like parametric families useful because they allow me to control and standardize design elements across the project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revit?

One area where Revit could be improved is performance, as it can become slow and resource-intensive. File management and version control can also be challenging, especially without cloud collaboration tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Elevates Designing with Intuitive 3D Features"
What do you like best about Revit?

I find Revit extremely valuable for my work, particularly in mechanical and electrical designing tasks. I enjoy using Revit because of its three-dimensional designing capability, which is incredibly useful for visualizing designs in real life. This feature provides a significant advantage over using traditional 2D designs in AutoCAD, making it much better for imagining how projects will look in the future. I appreciate the availability of plugins, such as ELUM tools for lighting design and built-in tools for mechanical design like duct sizing, which simplify tasks and ensure automatic calculations, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in my projects. Learning to use Revit was a smooth and quick process for me, thanks to resources available on YouTube and LinkedIn Learning, which helped me overcome initial challenges such as linking files and models. The ability to adapt quickly after understanding the workflow and features speaks to Revit's intuitive design, which I greatly appreciate. These aspects of Revit are so beneficial that they ensure I would definitely purchase it again in the future. I am also very likely to recommend Revit to others, rating it a perfect 10 out of 10. "Powerful BIM and Documentation"
What do you like best about Revit?

What I like most about Revit is that it uses BIM, which helps create smart 3D models that update automatically in all drawings and schedules. This makes it easier to coordinate between architecture, structure, and MEP, and helps reduce mistakes and changing somthing something in one place, it updates everywhere very useful saves a lot time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revit?

Working with others on the same model can be frustrating because of file or permission issues. Revit also feels a bit limited for creative design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Indispensable for complex design and BIM coordination"
What do you like best about Revit?

Revit is the heart of my workflow as a BIM Manager. I love how it centralizes documentation, modeling, and coordination in one environment. Its parametric capabilities, view templates, and worksharing functions make it ideal for large-scale projects like healthcare and education. I also appreciate its growing compatibility with automation tools like Dynamo and Python scripts — it empowers me to streamline tasks and increase quality control. Revit evolves with the industry, and that keeps me passionate about improving how we build. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revit?

While I love Revit, it can feel rigid when trying to customize workflows outside of its default structure. Some features — like managing line weights or graphics — still require too many manual steps or lack visual clarity. Performance can also become an issue with large files or many links. And despite the advances, it still lacks native tools for certain coordination or automation needs, making plugins or scripting essential. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Revit helped me improve my workflow and design with professional precision."
What do you like best about Revit?

What I value most about Revit is its BIM environment, which centralizes all the project information in a single file. I can generate floor plans, sections, elevations, and 3D views automatically and accurately. Additionally, the customizable families allow me to adapt each element to what I need, and its integration with other Autodesk programs makes it even more powerful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revit?

I think Revit could improve in performance. With large files, the software becomes slow and that can affect productivity. I also consider that for someone who is just starting, the learning curve can be a bit complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful tool for daily BIM Work"
What do you like best about Revit?

I have been using Revit frequently.

The best part is, we can integrate it with lots of add-ins and other supporting software like Dynamo, Enscape, etc.

It is ease to produce accurate plans, sections and elevations.

Also, ease to insert the links of CAD files, IFC and other files.

The best part is we can work together in a single file with our colleagues using worksharing.

We can create automation using dynamo and API for repetitive works.

Ease to implement BIM when compared to other software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revit?

Sometimes I face force close of Revit software due to large file size.

Sometimes , It take more time to open the model.

We have some limitation to create conceptual designs.

Some people need some time to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"REVIT helps maximize each designers true potential and efficiency"
What do you like best about Revit?

REVIT saves time compared to AutoCAD. Annotation is quick and easy. Reduces overall time dedicated to each project. The ability to collaborate and have multiple designers working on a single project also saves time and gets the project completed on time or even early. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revit?

There are many ways to accomplish the same goal or task within REVIT, and this can be confusing. Also, REVIT has so many capabilities that it is sometimes hard to remember where to go to complete the command or task. Lastly, I really wish that tag leaders could/would snap to the ends of a dimension extension line. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"REVIT BEST TOOL"
What do you like best about Revit?

What I like best about Revit is the way it centralizes the entire design and documentation process into one coordinated model. The ability to link drawings, schedules, and 3D views in real time saves an incredible amount of time and reduces errors. I also appreciate how flexible it is when collaborating across disciplines—structural, MEP, and architectural models can all be integrated seamlessly. Overall, it makes complex projects much more efficient and accurate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Revit?

What I dislike about Revit is that it can be very resource-intensive and sometimes runs slowly on larger, more complex models. The learning curve is also quite steep for new users, and some workflows still feel less intuitive than they could be. Additionally, while the software is powerful, certain updates and improvements often come slower than expected Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
