Any change made in 3D automatically updates across plans, sections, and schedules. This saves a lot of time and reduces errors. It also makes BIM coordination much easier because the entire project can be managed in one place instead of multiple separate files. **What do you dislike about Revit?** The main drawback is that Revit can become slow and heavy when working on large projects. It also has a steep learning curve, so it takes time for beginners to get comfortable with its workflow. Another issue is file compatibility, as different versions cannot always be easily opened or downgraded. **What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Revit solves the issue of disconnected drawings and poor coordination between disciplines. It allows you to work in all dimensions simultaneously, without having to switch between them. **What do you dislike about Revit?** You cannot change to a lower version of Revit, or vice versa, without the file being locked. Additionally, some elements, like beams, cannot be grouped or converted into assemblies. **What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?** I like that all systems can be operated from a single platform, which makes it easier to centralize work and keep everything in one place. ### 3. The UI is very user-friendly, and even large projects can be managed smoothly, especially when integrating with other tools and software. Performance-wise and price-wise, this is the best software in my experience. It also has a strong support team and helpful forum platforms. In the new 2027 version, they have introduced an AI agent as well. **What do you dislike about Revit?** Sometimes it crashes when I’m working on large projects, and we can’t downgrade the files. **What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Overall, it helps the AEC industry complete projects with less rework and better coordination. ### 4. I appreciate that I can visualize any part of a project with the model, which helps clarify where critical drawings or views will support the client and contractors' understanding of the design intent. It's beneficial that drawings are all live updated when the model changes, helping to avoid missing updates that would have to be made manually if using a 2D CAD system. I like that the 3D model and documents are one in the same. **What do you dislike about Revit?** I wish there was a better library of included hatch patterns and materials. I find that material rendering is something I have to spend much more time than I'd like to enable accurate rendering outputs. Certain materials are difficult to rotate, particularly if they are a part of a component, rather than 'painted' into the model. The material and hatch library just feel very limited, which requires trying to custom generate or find other materials to bring in which can get messy. Creating your own templates and knowing how to customize certain features to create useful outputs/data within a model can get very complicated if you're not quite savvy. **What problems is Revit solving and how is that benefiting you?** I like that building a 3D model in Revit enables me to generate relevant views that are live-updated with model changes, avoiding manual updates required by 2D CAD systems. This helps clarify design intent for clients and contractors. ### 5. Handling large models around 200, 500 MB, or one GB can take too much time compared to smaller ones under 100 MB.
