I appreciate Revit for its ability to set views and show schedule data. This is particularly helpful when determining pad elevations to prevent unnecessary soil purchases. I also really like using the topo solids commands to account for underground components, which lets me total the cubic yards needed for displacement. Revit makes it easier to track 3D models and count cast-in objects like electric boxes, conduits, and plumbing, which is essential for my role in MEPFP systems coordination and civil coordination for underground clashes. I would like to import or edit schedules like Excel sheets. This would bring automation to my task. I have to use the schedule to get total cubic yards of each component, like foundations and vaults, and calculate these in a separate spreadsheet. If I could add Excel and link it to the foundation schedule, it would calculate all the sums together, which would simplify the process for net cut fill in Toposolids.
