What do you like best about Retool?

What I like most about Retool is how well it supports our online baseball training business. We use it to build tools that fit our specific needs, including dashboards that track athlete stats, strengths, weaknesses, and overall progress. Having all of that information in one place helps us make better decisions when we create weekly hitting and pitching plans and when we choose the right drills for each player.

I also appreciate that Retool allows us to build custom tools and connect to other systems. It’s helping us cut down on manual work, strengthen our coaching process, and get ready to support more athletes as our business continues to grow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Retool?

What I dislike about Retool is that it can take a while to learn and get set up. Building custom tools still requires some technical knowledge, and connecting everything the way we want often takes careful planning and plenty of testing. It’s also not a ready-made baseball training system, so we end up having to build many of the features ourselves. I’d like to see a simpler setup process overall, along with more straightforward options for people who aren’t developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Retool solving and how is that benefiting you?

Retool is helping us tackle the challenge of managing athlete information and training plans across multiple tools. We’re using it to pull player stats, progress, and development needs into a single system, which makes it much easier to understand where each athlete needs to improve and to build more personalized hitting and pitching plans.

It’s also helping us cut down on time spent on manual tasks and create a more consistent coaching process. By building tools that fit our business, we can use athlete data more effectively, improve the overall training experience, and be better prepared to support more players as our business grows.
