What I like best about Retner is that it completely redefines how our agency runs e-commerce customer engagement by replacing rigid, rule-based automation with real AI intent-driven workflows. Unlike our previous tools like Mailchimp and standalone SMS/WhatsApp systems that only trigger messages based on fixed time intervals, Retner actively monitors visitor behavior, cart activity, and browsing patterns to judge true purchase intent. This lets us send hyper-contextual messages instead of generic blasts, which drastically improves campaign relevance and conversion quality. I also highly value its unified omnichannel journey builder, which centralizes WhatsApp, email, and SMS in one single workflow. Before Retner, we had to edit, schedule, and track channels separately, causing inconsistent brand messaging and extra operational work. With Retner, we can build seamless cross-channel journeys that auto-escalate across channels if customers do not engage. The built-in AI Calling feature is another huge advantage for our D2C clients, automating COD confirmation, order follow-ups, and lost cart recovery to lower manual support workload and reduce RTO rates significantly. Combined with advanced behavioral segmentation, we can categorize users by engagement level, cart value, and purchase readiness. This allows me to precisely match segmented campaigns with our approved brand creatives stored on OneDrive for Business. Overall, Retner helps our small team deliver scalable, personalized, high-converting customer journeys that consistently boost client sales and retention results. While Retner delivers powerful AI automation and omnichannel functionality, it still has noticeable workflow limitations that create extra manual overhead for our agency team. First, it lacks native plug-and-play integrations with our core workplace tools. We heavily rely on OneDrive for Business to store all client campaign creatives, design drafts, and marketing copy, but there is no direct connection with Retner. This forces me to repeatedly download, organize, and manually upload assets every time we launch or update a campaign, creating version control risks and repetitive admin work. Second, Retner has almost no pre-built journey templates for standard e-commerce use cases such as abandoned cart recovery, COD verification flows, post-purchase nurturing, and review collection. Every client workflow has to be built fully from scratch, which increases onboarding time whenever we add new D2C brands. Additionally, the platform lacks customizable saved reporting dashboards and tiered notification controls, meaning we cannot filter high-priority customer signals from routine activity alerts. We constantly need to export raw data externally to analyze campaign performance, segment trends, and generate client reports. These small but consistent limitations slow down our campaign deployment speed and add unnecessary manual coordination work, even though Retner’s core AI and omnichannel capabilities remain extremely valuable to our daily operations.
