What do you like best about RenderDotC?

There's almost nothing not to like about RenderDotC. Since it is designed to be in compliance with RenderMan standards compatibility with countless third party products which also adheres to the standard is a given as well as the interchangeability with them. Image quality of the output, speed of the application, flexibility to customize, wide array of features, all of these are mixed together to bring you a robust product that is backed by the good technical support and the user community available. What do you dislike about RenderDotC?

Honestly, technical-wise, a factor to dislike is yet to appear. Only problem in the whole product catalog is its price. The pricing for RenderDotC is a little high than expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It you are thinking of purchasing a renderer for any graphical activity, I would highly recommend RenderDotC by Dot C Software, Inc. Even though the price can be considered too expensive, believe me, you will make valuable production like never before and ultimately recover the expenditure by no time. What problems is RenderDotC solving and how is that benefiting you?

After researching for quite sometime to find a product which suites our needs and tends to them extensively, we found RenderDotC. We thought it was too overpriced for its set of outputs but after purchasing it we found out that it was not the case at all. Since it is in compliance with RenderMan standards, the features available there are by default provided here also. But going further, it provides Non-uniform rational basis spline (NURB) curves as well as DSO shadeops. With the software in hand, we used it as a production renderer to create special effects for our films, where it gave the outputs to an exceed expectation level.
