Describe the project or task Red Canary helped with:

Red Canary is my company's go-to for endpoint detection monitoring. We feed our CB Defense alerts into the Red Canary portal for extra correlation with any detected alerts. We rely on Red Canary to monitor all of our endpoints and alert on any detections. Each detection is manually reviewed by a Red Canary SOC engineer, so we know they are legit. Combine these manually curated alerts with their excellent automation platform, and you have a powerful detection platform that you can rely on. Red Canary's team eliminates alert fatigue in small IT departments having to manually review thousands of alarms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Red Canary?

There are 3 things that help Red Canary stand out from their competitors.

1. They filter alerts down to "interesting" events and manually review each "interesting" event for authenticity before alerting you. Its literally an extension of your IT team.

2. Based on certain criteria you specify, you can configure automated actions to be taken based on alerting. This is super powerful.

3. Red Canary can injest data from other security platforms to build correlation with "interesting" events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Red Canary?

The ONLY negative thing I can say is there is a minimum of "$25k/yr" for their services. If you're trying to protect only a few endpoints, the price per endpoint is out of reach. The typical price per endpoint is very reasonable and right on-par with nearly every other endpoint protection product out there. You'll want to have a couple hundred endpoints minimum to make it worth the minimum price.

There can be a bit of a learning curve if you're just starting out, but the Red Canary team is immensely helpful! They are very easy to relate to and explain things in such a way that makes it easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
