What do you like best about ReciPal?

Using the ReciPal online interface was straightforward and easy. I was able to create in a step-by-step fashion, check my work, and revise repeatedly until the label that was generated reflected exactly how I wanted my product presented nutritionally, all with a high level of confidence that the information was correct.

The platform ensures that you get it right - or as close as possible - as there are numerous rules and regulations for nutrition labeling in recipe generation. As someone unfamiliar with nutrition food labeling and new to the business, creating my own labels on ReciPal was educational as well as solving the problem of needing nutrition information for my product.

Any questions were easily answered by support staff that is thoroughly knowledgeable in the food space and generous with their time and advice. They are happy to review your recipe and label. They can easily spot your mistakes and tell you the changes to make on the platform to get the proper result.

When I took the nutrition label created on the platform and then embedded it for a complete standalone product label, ReciPal was there to consult and make sure I did it right and kept to the myriad of rules and regulations for product labeling. The software gets you the data and proper format and their consulting takes you all the way through to layout and presentation of a correct product label.

What do you dislike about ReciPal?

Not a dislike, but emphasis has to be given to the learning curve of understanding nutrition labeling requirements and product labeling. As you play with the platform and create your recipes and labels, you learn and thus are able to iterate your recipes and labels.

I don't know that you can get nutrition labeling right the first time unless you are well versed in all there is to know about FDA nutrition labeling requirements. This is not a criticism of the platform per se as it takes what you enter and will be 99% correct if you've been correct with what you've entered. Therefore, for companies who know this space, using ReciPal is easy, on-demand, and gives you what you need immediately for new products and updates to existing products.

It is the outstanding customer support from ReciPal that ensures that what you enter is correct for complex labels and recipes when you're just a beginner in the food space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is ReciPal solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am a small business. I have a single item within a kit that needs a nutrition label and a single recipe for that item. I don't know the food labeling space and don't have the funds to hire a consultant. The ReciPal platform solved my 'problem' of needing a nutrition label, answered all my questions about recipes and variations, and was invaluable to my small business.
