No other painting program offers the same tools for simulating, or capturing, the feel of traditional painting in a digital workflow.
The UI/UX is quite intuitive and well organized. There’s a strong selection of tools, quite expansive personalization options for brushes and similar, and it includes everything I’d expect from a painting program, especially one focused on traditional painting.
The price is a bit high for a hobbyist, but for what you get, I still think it’s well worth it. I also appreciate the clause on AI, and that Escape Motions doesn’t use or sell your art to train AI.
Performance has been excellent overall. It runs fairly smoothly, and the water simulation in particular feels especially smooth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not really a major issue, but there isn’t an option to have the canvas "pop out" into a separate window. You’re confined to working within the program. I’d really like a feature like that, since I usually use my tablet as the painting area while keeping the rest of the interface on my main screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
