The UX experience is very good. It has a very visual interface that allows you to map data flow and validation rule. It has allowed us to test with 2 QA more than we could ever test before with 4 QA. It's quick to learn and be productive with. As we have gotten deeper into the details of testing, we have found a few bugs and issues we needed fixed or enhanced to satisfy our needs and RightData continues to meet with us regularly and fix issues very quickly for us. Really appreciate how the value us as a client. **What do you dislike about DataTrust?** Occassional performance and caching issues and minor bugs around integration with our CICD tool. **What problems is DataTrust solving and how is that benefiting you?** Its allowing use to thoroughly validate data as it is entering our date repository. ### 2. It has definitely reduced manual effort and saved time. Easy to use application and user friendly. **What do you dislike about DataTrust?** Performance can slow down when processing very large datasets. Handling of the complex data types like XML is not smooth. Such fields may require manual intervention. **What problems is DataTrust solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps us catch record count and data mismatch issues early in the the migration process. ### 3. It is very easy to use and doesn't need any coding to setup the validations using drag and drop functionality. RDt team is quick to work on the issues whenever we faced the challenges. Overall good experience working with RDt team. **What do you dislike about DataTrust?** At times performance is a concern and would like to see UI based reconciliation in feature enhancements. **What problems is DataTrust solving and how is that benefiting you?** Comparing source to target value reconciliation, Data profiling. We used it extensively during Hana to Snowflake migration testing. Currently using it for Data Quality checks between source and target systems ### 4. Rightdata tool helps in building the data in the way we require using the QueryStudio feature and then lets us also validate them using the ScenarioStudio features 2. The validation reports gives an in-depth analysis of what went wrong along with the coloured visualisation for easy reporting and failure analysis 3. The tool was customised to suit our need to support file types like JSON, which was very useful for analysis 4. Querystudio has many inbuilt transformation features and scenario studio also has in-built validations which are just a drag and drop features 5. Above all, the support from RightData team was excellent **What do you dislike about DataTrust?** 1. At times, we have noticed UI features behaving weird and queries written were not appearing on the screen 2. New features coming in new version are not known unless asked about it **What problems is DataTrust solving and how is that benefiting you?** 1. Rival software was seen to be far more complex while providing only the same capability or less. **What do you dislike about DataTrust?** There are some parts of that UI that are a little flaky: screen not updating, information not updating in one part when changed in another. I haven't found that any of this affects its actual successful output and oiutcomes. **Recommendations to others considering DataTrust:** It is held up internally as evidence of the success that can be had by choosing a smaller, lesser-known vendor. **What problems is DataTrust solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have been reconciling a lot of data from a wide variety of sources and of different types. The ability to write SQL against the CSV or XLSX files, for example, has made it very quick and easy to get the data we need. The UI for making query chains, combining data and transforming it in different ways has worked so well for us that we have used it as an ETL tool for non-reconciliation purposes. Buoyed by this, we are now engaging with them to take their full new ETL software. ### 7. You can easily build data connections across various source systems, design queries/query chains, reconciliations and configure batch job scheduling. It includes an email notification system and exception reporting that is used for our SOX Control evidence. **What do you dislike about DataTrust?** I cannot think of any items I dislike at this time. **Recommendations to others considering DataTrust:** Develop a comprehensive use case and give them a call to ask how their product can help you. **What problems is DataTrust solving and how is that benefiting you?** We easily connect RightData to our target data sources which include JD Edwards E1 (Oracle), SQL Server ODS, and SQL Server Tabular Model output via MS Excel. Using RightData's reconciliation feature, we build queries and query chains to reconcile E1 to ODS and E1 to our Tabular Model on a scheduled basis to confirm our data sources are always in sync. In the event of an error, the error reports identify the unique keys needed to investigate the out of balance condition. Vasu, Abhiram and Anil are great to work with at RightData and always happy to help troubleshoot when we run into something we cannot handle. They are always open to feature request feedback. It's easy to use but flexible enough to be able to perform all our required reconciliations and data checks. Where we have experienced gaps in the product or performance issues, the RightData team has been quick to work with us to deliver enhancements or fixes. Overall we are pleased with the product and service. **What do you dislike about DataTrust?** On occasions, we have experienced some UI performance issues or bugs as part of an upgrade. However, these were resolved promptly. **What problems is DataTrust solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use RightData for data validation, checks and reconciliations. Having RightData has allowed our business to catch issues with data in a more proactive rather than reactive manner. It also allows us to keep an audit trail. ### 9. Reduced the overall testing time and significantly cut down the regression testing windows allowing faster time to market with the business functionality also reduced the manual effort and testing resource needs. ### 10. It work only some times and fails many times **Recommendations to others considering DataTrust:** Not at this point as it still has many issues to fix and the tool needs to be stable as it is not. it is not able to support when we try to add new features. it either fails or stops working. **What problems is DataTrust solving and how is that benefiting you?** Reconciliation and Reporting is the best along with email notifications.
