PVsyst has been my go-to software for energy-yield simulations thanks to its accuracy and its detailed modeling capabilities. It lets me assess different system configurations and key factors like losses, shading, degradation, and meteorological data before I finalize a design. I also use SketchUp to build 3D shading scenes, and it integrates smoothly with PVsyst to support more realistic near-shading analysis. Using both tools together improves my design accuracy and gives me greater confidence in my project generation estimates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software is very powerful, but the interface feels somewhat outdated and it can take new users a while to get comfortable with it. Importing and managing complex SketchUp shading scenes can be time-consuming as well, especially when you’re working with more detailed setups. A more modern UI and a smoother, more streamlined workflow would make the overall experience even better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
