**What do you like best about PVcase Ground Mount?**

It has never been so easy to redistribute a layout in the face of new conditions and/or requirements. Thanks to PVCase Ground Mount, these changes are just a few clicks away. The automatic generation of single-line diagrams according to the project configuration is also very useful.

**What do you dislike about PVcase Ground Mount?**

I miss a bit more resolution in the terrain meshes of the PVCase database since public spatial data sources still have higher resolution. The automatically generated single-line diagrams don't entirely make electrical sense as the connections of the strings/inverters are not represented very well.

**What problems is PVcase Ground Mount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Resolve the possibility of creating numerous layouts quickly and efficiently, allowing you to handle a high volume of projects without any problems.

I've been using PV Case extensively over the past few months, and it has proven to be an invaluable tool for my work. One of the standout features of PV Case is its exceptional user-friendliness. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate. This has significantly reduced the learning curve and allowed me to get up to speed quickly.

What I appreciate the most about PV Case is the accuracy and precision of the information it provides. - Ease of importing contour lines of the PV site to be analyzed, very useful for identifying areas of the PV field with slopes unsuitable for tracker placement
- Fast layout design with any type of structure (fixed or tracker)
- Possibility of placing inverters and cabins with consequent automatic calculation of excavations and cables
- Easy and intuitive electrical system configuration (stringing, subfields, inverters) with automatic numbering assignment
- Export of all cable lengths useful for sizing
- Drawing of the general single-line diagram that allows verification of gross errors in the electrical configuration
- Drawing of the perimeter and accesses
- Drawing of restriction zones
- Export of the 3D model to PvSyst for a complete analysis of the model with realistic terrain and shading

**What do you like best about PVcase Ground Mount?**

I have been using the PVcase software for a few years, specifically the Ground Mount module, for the design of medium and large-scale photovoltaic solar plants, and I can give an opinion based on my experience. As positive aspects, I would highlight the following:

- Ease of use and performance from day one
- Ability to implement resources and new functions as it is used
- Introduction of real data from equipment used
- Realistic and detailed civil design calculations
- Basic data for low voltage network electrical calculations
- New improvements and updated functions periodically

**What do you dislike about PVcase Ground Mount?**

As less pleasant aspects, I would mention the following:

- High price for small businesses and freelancers
- Use on a single workstation per license
- No possibility of calculating sections of electrical conductors
- Lack of civil design calculations for elements other than photovoltaic trackers such as roads, fences, foundations,...

**What do you like best about PVcase Ground Mount?**

The program has the convenience of having the same interface as the classic Autocad, and works with great speed on layouts with photovoltaic fields of large sizes, even more than 100MW. There are many mini courses included in the package and always available for learning to use the program completely independently. The technical support is exceptional, always active, with very fast responses about 5-10 minutes, through a chat on their Pvcase website, with clear, concrete, practical, effective, and comprehensive answers. If the problem is not resolved with their online help, they also work directly on the client's file to understand the issue. Excellent technical support.

**What do you dislike about PVcase Ground Mount?**

I would prefer if there was the possibility to export the created project and use it on Google Earth in order to show it to the client in its real environment, to understand its actual height and impact. It would also be nice to find the possibility to render the project.

**What problems is PVcase Ground Mount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The speed in creating layouts, creating subfields, ground slopes, and consequently the optimal positioning of the panels, the calculation of power, and the table that is automatically produced.

**What do you like best about PVcase Ground Mount?**

The software, an extension of Civil3D, allows for the design of photovoltaic plants, significantly reducing the time required as it provides the ability to define the layout on predefined areas by simply configuring the type of structure (tracker or fixed), the pitch, and importing the survey through the program itself or from external data. It is also possible to perform a civil analysis with the aim of calculating the necessary excavations and fills for the positioning of the structures. Among other functions, the electrical configuration is very useful, allowing for the cabling of strings and the rapid export of the single-line diagram.
A strong point of the software is definitely the always available technical support and the academy with constantly updated video courses.
I use it daily on all projects and recommend its purchase to anyone dealing with issues related to drafting a plant layout, especially in the initial phase when one often has to modify the configuration of the structures to find the optimal one.

**What do you dislike about PVcase Ground Mount?**

It would be useful to be able to share the license among colleagues of the same team. It would be useful to implement the already existing functionality of spacing fixed structures according to shading also for the trackers.

**What problems is PVcase Ground Mount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Certainly the study of shading on terrains with complicated morphology, the civil analysis useful for a quick calculation of excavations and fills, and the possibility of having a quick survey for a preliminary draft of the layout.

**What do you like best about PVcase Ground Mount?**

In my company, we work on different phases of the development of a PV plant until its commissioning, and it is useful for us in all of them:

-In the DTO for searching suitable land for PV plants, it helps us design plants much faster than without this tool, allowing us to optimize the work and test many fields at once.

-In the DTO for US, it allows us to:
.Convert structures (fixed type or tracker) layout not done in pvcase to pvcase easily
.Take cable measurements minimizing errors and significantly reducing execution time. These also include 3D tracing, making them more accurate
.Agile string numbering
.Generate basic single-line diagrams very quickly
.Position piles, with the possibility of exporting to an Excel document included
.Earth movements
.Etc.

One of the values I highlight most about PVcase are:
-Its tutorials, very intuitive and easy to learn how to use the program with them.
-Its support service. They have a very well-trained team, super friendly and very available, whether by chat or video call, to assist you with any questions you may have.

**What do you dislike about PVcase Ground Mount?**

The area of earthworks is very useful for making estimates in development projects. In detailed engineering projects, they are also useful, but they could be optimized a bit more.

Nevertheless, they are always open to listening to you and seeing what improvement proposals you have for the software.

It has allowed us and allows us to optimize time and reduce the margin of error in the different phases of a PV project, from the search for optimal land for PV to detailed engineering.

Very interesting software, I use it every day at work to design ground-mounted photovoltaic systems. easy to use. intuitive and accurate I also report the great availability to support and teaching of the team members. for any needs they are available.   If you design PV systems, it is the best on the market.

**What do you dislike about PVcase Ground Mount?**

It would be great to implement the software with a database of single-axis structures so as to facilitate the placement of PV modules.
It would also be interesting to include electrical cables between power line supports among the 3D objects that induce shadow on the modules

**What problems is PVcase Ground Mount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Civil Analysis tool could be improved by allowing more freedom in some parameters. Additionally, the implementation of cable section dimensioning would be very useful.

**What do you like best about PVcase Ground Mount?**

PVcase Ground Mount is a software highly used by the photovoltaic industry, especially when designing photovoltaic plants, from pre-design phases, through basic engineering, to detailed engineering. Its various tools related to electrical and civil works allow for streamlining the work and provide great support in engineering tasks. As of today, it is the software that allows for the greatest level of detail. Additionally, the PVcase team is always available to resolve any questions that may arise in the use of the program, although it is a very intuitive and easy-to-use software. Another advantage is its continuous updates, always oriented towards the needs of the client.

**What do you dislike about PVcase Ground Mount?**

Licenses are individual and it would be interesting to offer other types of solutions.

**What do you like best about PVcase Ground Mount?**

I think PVcase ground mount puts the most tools within the same program when compared to other competitors. Our team used to use multiple tools, and now is able to get better results using fewer tools and PVcase. Additionally, the export features are super helpful and the PVcase team is ready to assist whenever we need.

**What do you dislike about PVcase Ground Mount?**

If there is one issue I have had with PVcase ground mount, it has to be units/scaling. I am a seasoned AutoCAD 2D user, and find myself consistently messing up units on PVcase so my modules are shown extremely small. It would be useful if there was a warning before producing a layout when the module is extremely small relative to your working area.

**What problems is PVcase Ground Mount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As I mentioned before, PVcase ground mount combines multiple tools into one, and with its nifty export to PVsyst feature, eliminates yet another annoying step my team used to have to take. Additionally, the layout iterations are super helpful to nail down the proper GCR. With the addition of PVcase yield, I ccan imagine it will become even better.

The best feature is the compatibility with AutoCAD, since most of the projects are designed with that software, and the interaction between them is very efficient. Also the possibility to generate different layout depending on multiple parameters, such us the pitch, is an excellent optimization function.

**What do you dislike about PVcase Ground Mount?**

I think that the software is very useful if you need to create a layout from the beginning, but if you have to copy a layout, maybe not available on AutoCAD but only on pdf, it is difficult to replicate it perfectly.

**What do you like best about PVcase Ground Mount?**

The integration into ACAD, as well as the ease of learning the software has made PVcase extremely useful for layout creation, collision detection, and preliminary shading studies. PVcase representatives are also easily accessible and have been able to answer any questions I've had. The number of new updates have also been impressive, which makes me hopeful that they may fix any issues that I do have in the near future.

**What do you dislike about PVcase Ground Mount?**

The civil engineering tools are a bit lacking at the moment. It can do basic cut and fill calculations based on the input topographic data, but there is almost no control over areas to prioritize, or whether you would rather cut more than fill or vice versa. Additionally, I've run into some issues when importing tracking modules into PVsyst which cause the panels tilts to seem completely random, though I cannot be sure that the issue lies with PVcase rather than some glitch within PVsyst.

**What problems is PVcase Ground Mount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest benefit is the ease by which I can create new solar PV layouts from scratch, and send those files within AutoCAD, a nearly ubiquitous software. KMZ files are easily imported, and new table formations can be created and saved in moments.

The frequency of usage of PVCase for me is quite a lot for designing projects. PVCase implementation is quite simple and integrates seamlessly with AutoCAD and can be initiated by just typing in the command "PVCase". The time saving ability of the PVCase ground mount tool is the key factor in helping me to deliver the project in a timely manner to the clients and help to elevate the quality standards  for the organization. The stringing tool and cabling tool in the software helps to design the project and get the output we need in a clear and a concise way. The interface is also easy to understand which makes this tool easier for the beginners in designing a project. The customer support is really responsive with both technical and product related questions.

Sometimes there are times where the software becomes a bit unresponsive and crashes. This makes the user to rework on the things and start afresh. And that is something that can be looked into the team

Designing the layout considering the topography. Cabling and stringing are other factors which I frequently use as well.

PVcase is such a game changer for PV layout design. The interface is so intuitive so even our most junior PV designers can be brought up to speed on the features in a short period of time. Large utility scale layouts that took days to populate can now be populated in a matter of minutes with minimal post processing required. This tool is absolutely vital to the success of our team.

**What do you dislike about PVcase Ground Mount?**

I have not learned the ins and outs of the terain adaptation feature that allows a shade scene with topography included to be input into PVsyst, so I can not speak to the accuracy of this tool. I am hoping to learn more about this feature and test it's functionality.

**What problems is PVcase Ground Mount solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PVcase allows our team to run multiple iterations at different GCRs/DC capacities very quickly. This, in conjunction with PVsyst, helps us evaluate the optimal GCR for our clients.

It is simple to implement and use, very quick for making variations in implementations, and provides good results for all project phases, including development, basic engineering, and detailed projects.

It is a very comprehensive software that allows you to do everything from terrain analysis and its slopes, quick but precise implementations, to electrical wiring, earth movements, etc. It allows you to export all kinds of information to Excel (summary tables of power by area, by inverters, meters of wiring, quantities of earth movement), as well as 3D scenes compatible with PVsyst, shadow simulations of nearby elements, and much more.

It saves you a lot of time. Once you try it, you don't want any other software.

The only thing I could comment on is that it does not calculate earthworks for the plant's roads or for the power station blocks or other buildings.

Besides the ease of use and efficiency with initial layouts and updating layout with new parameters, the things that stands out to me the most is the customer service. They continuously ask for input on what you like and dislike about the software and what they could do to make it better. In addition, the customer support staff are extremely quick to respond to live chats when you have an issue and take the time to walk you through the solution, sending videos or screen shots until the issue is resolved.

It has a moderate learning curve, but if you are familiar with civil design programs, you will find it a piece of cake to get used to the program. Besides that, in addition to being able to make implementations really quickly, the program provides you with a multitude of necessary data for all kinds of calculations you need to perform.

It is a very intuitive software, easy and quick to learn. It likely covers all the needs that arise in the design phase (shadow calculation, obstacles, etc.). Excellent service for extracting topographic points to create a work surface. For the civil part, the grading study for ground levels is excellent, the electrical part is very fast and intuitive, and with the creation of a BOM, the project is complete. The continuous weekly updates are excellent.

I like that, to generate a preliminary study, where you need to make a layout, review the terrain, carry out a photovoltaic installation for a study of kwp/m2 to be implemented, with pvcase it can take me... between 10 and 20 minutes? The agility in this case is amazing.

Another point I love is the technical support service they have. It's fast and furious. They respond to you immediately, and if they don't know the answer at that moment, it takes them 2 minutes to find out and respond to you.

Among other things, the topography that pvcase refers to can be improved, but since they are always releasing software improvements, they will correct it at some point.

Among other tools, this software allows the user to draw and calculate the length of cables, in addition to easily do the electric distribution of a PV project. The customer support is great and was available by chat whenever I needed, with a very fast response.

It takes a bit of time to get used to all the different features to be able to use the software to your best advantage, but learning the basics is quite quick. Also, having to use Autocad can be quite heavy on the computer, so sometimes this make it slow. But this an Autocad issue, not PVcase.

**What do you like best about PVcase Ground Mount?**

The fact that you can quickly verify the power that can be installed in a given site by varying the pitch and installation configuration, taking into account the topographical aspects and therefore any installation problems due to the steep slopes of the terrain

**What do you dislike about PVcase Ground Mount?**

The main downside I see is the cumbersomeness in importing a layout created by a third party (not through the PVcase software) to be able to verify its feasibility
