## About Publishizer
Publishizer helps more authors get discovered by readers and publishers. Finding a book publisher is hard. And self-publishing can be expensive. The problem is that 96% of all book proposals get rejected by agents and traditional publishers. We use reader data and pre-order copies to match ideas with credible publishers and provide support and accountability to authors in a process they typically go at alone. Running a pre-order campaign for your book represents not only a substantial way to subsidize the first print run but also significant earnings for the author before landing a deal. All authors who pitch a book idea receive feedback and guidance from our team, gain access to our free book proposal template and campaign builder, and will learn what it takes to bring your book to market and become a highly sought-after published author. We are a team of literary agents and book-loving tech entrepreneurs who have worked with world-class coaches, speakers, entrepreneurs, storytellers, and people doing interesting things. We are passionate about book ideas and helping authors realize their dreams of publishing a book and sharing a message with the world. The publishing industry is a giant machine but lacks care for new and experienced authors. This is where Publishizer is working tirelessly to fill the gap. Join us!

## Publishizer Reviews
  ### 1. A perfectly tined catalyst

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris L. | Self employed, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

It's not very often that an email can hit the bullseye to a lifelong goal you've been putting off, but that exactly what the team at Publishizer managed to do. My inner skeptic wanted to dismiss the offer to pitch a book idea as some combination of false praise and low brow business tactics, I couldn't have been more wrong.
Lee and Ben both guided me from my pitch, to my campaign, and eventually to a book deal. Part of me had believed a reality that writing a book "someday" would be an acceptable approach. Fortunately, Lee and Ben lit the fuse, extracted me from my comfortable company line of "someday" and turned it into "right away."

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

This is tricky because I asked a lot of questions through the process and always had consistent help and dialogue. Maybe if there was more content to outline the journey, but no complaints whatsoever.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

The imposter syndrome has stifled more goals than any lack of skill has in history. My number one recommendation with Publishizer is to trust the process and allow the experts to extract you from your comfort zone, add pressure to stimulate a sense of urgency, and to be your capable guides to the goal of becoming a published writer.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've realized that I can proudly say that I'm an author. Full fledged, without qualifiers, asterisks, or long rationalizations. That's just mind boggling and I couldn't be more appreciative.

  ### 2. A Wonderful Learning Experience and Partnership

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jared N. | Leadership Development Coach and Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Great partnership! Publishizer helped me understand a different way to market my book and partner with organizations to connect my book to my speaking and coaching experience. I was able to bring a different type of value to the book purchasing experience. Additionally, Publishizer opened the door to multiple publishers and I eventually received a publishing deal.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Nothing. Publishizer took me step be step through the process and was attentive to my questions. They helped ensure it was a great learning experience. They really worked to partner and didn't leave me wondering about any step in the process.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Publishizer's team was exceptional at answering questions. They often provided even more insights to questions than what I was originally seeking. I never felt alone in the process.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I learned a new way to market my book and how I can connect to potential readers in different ways. Publishizer helped me connect the book I wrote to additional passions of coaching and speaking.

  ### 3. Publishizer is the Best Way to Get Published

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Neal 🎙 S. | Social Media Author, Maximize Your Social, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Publishizer allows you to find readers, service providers, and most importantly publishers for your book.

The platform is flexible enough to handle both your book proposal as well as collect payments for pre-orders on your behalf.

The value in the platform, however, is that there is a built in audience of publishers looking for authors just as investors scan Kickstarter looking for ideas to invest in.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

While Publishizer is the best platform that exists if you want to promote your book before writing or publishing it, posting it to Publishizer does not guarantee success. You still need to work hard to promote your book outside of Publishizer for best results.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

I highly recommend you utilize the resourceful support that Publishizer provides to better understand the publishing process and the advice that they might have for you.

You should also utilize the Publishizer community by asking other Publishizer authors about their experiences and collaborating with them.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I found a publisher with Pubishizer AND successfully sold hundreds of copies of my book before I finished writing it.

  ### 4. More than a platform, an agent, a coach, and a guide in this crazy industry.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew L. | Startup Marketing Coaching, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

I was at square zero with becoming an author and not only did Publishizer allow me to skip several steps and start having conversations with real publishers, but it also gave me the shot in the butt that I needed to actually get writing and get this done. I can't tell you how many calls they've done with me, how much coaching they've given me and how much of their expertise in this brand new (for me) cutthroat industry that they've shared with me over the months. It's truly priceless for anyone who wants to truly make a career out of authoring books.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Some of the publishers I spoke to are just self-publishing agencies, and not very helpful.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to find, pitch and work with a top tier publisher, learning the ins and outs of this industry. Providing the platform to raise funds for the book. Coaching on what materials to create for the book etc.

  ### 5. Publishizer equaled the playing field for me to get my foot in the door to quality publishers.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justine E. | Innovation Strategist & Experience Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

I love the idea of raising money to validate my book idea. It gave me the insight I need to take the leap in dedicating so much time to a large project like this.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

The only downside to using Publizhizer is that people aren't used to the idea of crowdfunding for a book but that's okay. Hopefully as they grow that will change.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to leap through the equity gap I was facing as a 1st time author who has a very bold and unique story to tell.

  ### 6. The Publishizer Team went the extra mile

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel S. | Executive Coach, Lead Facilitator, Conversation Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

The team at Publishizer helped me get my book off the ground and bring my community together to support it. The feedback from potential publishers was helpful as I developed my book. The team also went the extra mile to introduce me to publishers and make sure I found a deal that I felt happy with.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

In the end, as an author, you still need to build your own platform. I think some people expect Publishizer to help them increase their pre-orders, but this is really on the author.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

Start building your community around the ideas in your book before you start with Publishizer! The launch period, leveraging the platform, is your chance to activate that community, like a Kickstarter campaign. Be very clear on what you can reasonably expect from a publisher...many of the publishers on the platform want to split the risk of publishing with you - so expect to spend some of your own money to make your book a reality.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't think I would have found the deal I got without them. I would have self published and wound up with smaller distribution. Launching a book is a long arc. I learned how to create buzz and structure book launch rewards by using Publishizer's other launches as a template. It helped me think about my book as a conversation, a wave, I was starting and building.

  ### 7. Author Control and Charting Your Own Course

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura P. | author, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Frustrated with trying to get my novel, Anna Incognito, published through my literary agent through traditional means, I turned to Publishizer. I was able to showcase my project with my own vision, pre-sell over 250 copies, and the book was pitched to multiple indie publishers. I had offers from about 10, so I got to choose who I wanted to publish the book. I had much more input on the process, and garnered 80 percent of royalties rather than the standard publishing house norm, which is about 10 percent. The experience was great, and it has launched me into a whole new world: I won several contests and now am adapting the book to be a movie with the help of one of the contest sponsors.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

I was lucky to have published five books previous, both through traditional means and through self-publishing. I had a small following, so pre-selling books wasn't as tough for me as it would be for some writers. I also think that some of the Indie publishers, at least at the time I was doing it, were definitely in it just to make money from the author, so I think those publishers should be eliminated...the idea should not be to be a pipeline from author to publishing 'business' looking to make an author pay for everything.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

Be sure you talk to any publishers who might be interested in your work. See if they've read your proposal and/or your entire book. Thoroughly research any of the publishers who contact you to be sure you like their product. Also check to see if they publish books similar to yours...a non-fiction only publisher isn't a good fit for a novel.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fiction is a tough sell. I found the tightening market left little room for anything that wasn't already done. My agent at the time wanted me to put a murder in a thoroughly non-murder type of book, because that was what was selling at the time. With Publishizer, I was able to chart my own destiny and choose my publisher. It gave me control of the project, and opened it up for me to reap greater rewards. The benefits are that I now have a book in my hand, beautifully edited, with a great cover, and it has attracted attention from many sources, including contests, reviewers, social media people, and the film/TV industry.

  ### 8. Invaluable resource for aspiring authors

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liesl H. | Entrepreneur, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

Publishizer is an invaluable resource for aspiring authors trying to navigate the publishing world. Many people have aspirations of publishing their first book and no idea how to do it. The publishing world is extremely competitive and getting noticed is challenging. The majority of aspiring authors never get noticed by major publishing houses. Publishizer provides the advice, guidance and support aspiring authors need to navigate a complex industry. Publishizer provides support on which publishing options are best for you based on your unique goals and aspirations. The cost of their services are extremely minor in comparison to the tremendous value they provide. They provide a staff person who supports your book

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Publishizer is still in the start-up phase and they are operationalizing a lot of their processes and continuously growing their staff. However, this is also a great time to work with them because you get access to people like their founders like Lee Constantine.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

My recommendation is to leverage publishizer when you have a large part of your manuscript written. This helps both you and Publishizer work in partnership to find the best publisher that meets your unique needs.

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Publishizer is solving the problem of navigating a complex industry for aspiring writers. They are giving new authors access to publishers who would regularly overlook them.

  ### 9. Two Successful Campaigns and two Traditional Publishing Deals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** ⭐️ Derek Loudermilk ⭐️ Q. | Book Author, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

They helped me pick the right topic, run my campaign, negotiate with publishers - multiple different levels of success

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

I would have loved an even bigger advance!

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

It a great idea for people that want to raise money to write their first book or that want to break into traditional publishing - validating your book with sales is a much faster way than pitching to lots of agent or publishers all you have to do is build momentum for your book project!

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I raised enough with my first campaign to be spend the time to write my book, and it helped my coaching career take off after that book came out.

  ### 10. Publishizer helped me get a publishing deal!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadia F. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 11, 2017

**What do you like best about Publishizer?**

The service I received from Lee and the team was amazing. They guided me in creating my campaign and supported me along the journey, which was really intense!
As a result of using Publishizer I ran a pre-order campaign that raised nearly $10K and I secured a publishing deal with a reputable business book publisher.

**What do you dislike about Publishizer?**

Running a 30 day campaign is not for the feint hearted. You need to be as prepared as possible and ready to rock when you hit go. Be sure to get everything, including your video and book cover set up before you start.

**Recommendations to others considering Publishizer:**

If you're keen to secure a publishing deal, but you don't have any contacts in the world of publishing, I would definitely give it a go!

**What problems is Publishizer solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've secured a publishing deal for my new book Little Me Big Business
