"Proxmox VE Flexible, powerful virtualization with a learning curve, excellent value"

5/5

What do you like best about Proxmox VE?

Proxmox VE combines virtual machines and Linux containers in one practical web interface, with useful tools for managing storage, networking, backups, and clusters. I appreciate its straightforward UI/UX, flexible integrations, and automation through its API and command line. Documentation and community support help with onboarding and troubleshooting. Its performance and open-source pricing model offer strong value and ROI, especially when moving away from costly virtualization platforms. It also provides a flexible foundation for hosting AI workloads and connecting external tools for intelligent automation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Proxmox VE?

The main downside is that setup and troubleshooting can take Linux and virtualization knowledge, especially for networking, storage, and cluster configuration. Teams used to another virtualization platform may also need time to adapt their workflows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Proxmox VE solving and how is that benefiting you?

Proxmox VE helps me consolidate workloads by running virtual machines and Linux containers on shared hardware, with centralized management for compute, storage, and networking. This makes it easier to use hardware efficiently, manage different workloads in one place, and control virtualization costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
