"Provision’s Chat Quickly Surfaces Contract Clauses and Cross-References, Saving Major Time"
5/5
What do you like best about Provision?

As a Construction Manager often working on multiple large projects, I find that Provisions saves me a lot of time when I have contractual questions. In the old days, I had a copy of the Contract on the corner of my desk with pages tabbed, highlighted, etc., and looking at an issue required me to go through clauses, finding cross references, etc. Finding the answer was time-consuming. With Provision, I use the Chat function to quickly find all the clauses and cross references. The AI response with the links to the Contract clauses helps me confirm my understanding. It works quickly so that on multiple occasions I have used Provision live in a client/consultant meeting to make a point and bring common understanding to the issue - which aids resolution. The tool has helped me save time and effort that I have extended its use to the entire project team so that they can query the Contract. We have started a new use for Provision on a project that is just starting up. We have used the Chat function to create Terms of Reference sheets for the project team. The Terms of Reference cover topics like billing procedures. This allows the broader team (Owner/Consultants/certain key Trades) to collaborate on developing the specific processes required to efficiently manage what will be a large and complex project. By making expectations clear in a conversational vs Contract language, the team is able to be onboarded and kick off the project faster and work together in a more seamless and integrated way. I am looking forward to using the new Scope Gaps tool on this new project to assist with Design Document QA/QC. Integrating with the Consultants quality process will hopefully result in fewer RFIs and coordination Changes in the field. While I mostly work on Projects, occasionally I help with bids as well. On one occasion Provision assisted with a Contract risk review which resulted in us declining to bid on that project. The interesting outcome was that we provided feedback to the Client on their Contract and they were receptive to the feedback and have engaged with us on how the Contract can be refined to encourage us and other bidders. Provision is a tool provided to us through a Corporate arrangement and I personally get good value from it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Provision?

I primarily use the Chat function and I find that sometimes it gives me wrong answers - which may be partly me needing to ask better questions. I always read the AI generated summary and the reference links to confirm that the answer is in line with the Contract. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
