"Integrated Absence Management with Dynamics Compatibility"
4/5
What do you like best about proMX 365 Absence Management?

What I appreciate most about proMX 365 Absence Management is its tight native integration inside our Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment. As the administrative coordination officer for StaffCare Consulting Stuttgart, I juggle internal training planning, cross‑team meetings and staffing tasks every single day, so jumping back‑and‑forth between multiple standalone HR tools used to eat up so much of my productive time. Before we migrated over from PTO Logger, I constantly had to duplicate employee profiles across two systems. I still remember one messy incident: a senior consultant’s approved educational leave was correctly logged in PTO Logger, but I forgot to replicate that entry into our Dynamics‑based internal records. Another coordinator booked her to host a high‑priority client‑focused workshop, and we only spotted the conflict one business day beforehand, forcing us to scramble to rewrite presentation materials and reassign the facilitator at the last minute. With proMX, employee master data pulls straight from Dynamics, so we avoid that duplicate‑entry headache entirely. I can configure separate absence categories for vacation, sick days, short‑term medical appointments, care‑related leave and educational training leave, each with our own internal documentation requirements. The immutable timestamped audit trail has been a huge lifesaver during our quarterly internal compliance audits. Last audit cycle, our compliance lead needed to verify sick‑leave documentation for two remote consultants. In the old days I would have spent hours sifting through months of email threads. Inside proMX I pulled their complete absence history within minutes, every comment and approval step was preserved without risk of overwritten spreadsheet cells. Our hybrid consultants also use the self‑service portal to submit time‑off requests and check their remaining leave balance directly in Dynamics. This cuts down dozens of repetitive admin emails landing in my inbox each month. All these features combine to give us one single reliable source for leave data, and drastically lower the odds of miscommunication‑driven scheduling mishaps for our 32‑person consulting team. What do you dislike about proMX 365 Absence Management?

Even though proMX works well for core leave approvals, it creates several frustrating manual workarounds within our daily workflow, and we have run into real‑world pain points working alongside Planerio. The biggest frustration is the complete lack of bi‑directional native sync with Planerio, our AI‑powered shift‑planning and time‑tracking platform. Every leave approved inside proMX will not automatically reflect on Planerio rosters. I have to manually export CSV files, clean formatting quirks, then import the dataset into Planerio. One busy month when I was swamped organising firm‑wide internal training, I overlooked importing one remote consultant’s approved multi‑day training leave. Her absence never appeared on the Planerio roster, and a colleague scheduled her to lead a cross‑department working group. We caught the issue only days before the event and had to reshuffle our whole project timeline. Setting up custom absence types and security permissions also brought unexpected hurdles. When rolling out the tool, I spent multiple afternoons tweaking role settings. Finance team members initially had unintended edit rights over leave records, which posed a data‑integrity risk we had to fix by manually adjusting every permission layer. There are no ready‑made CSV templates matching Planerio’s import format, so I built our whole export‑import workflow through trial and error. Bulk operations are another major shortcoming. When we need to add German public holidays for all staff, I cannot apply this in one batch; I have to open each employee profile and add the holiday entry individually. On top of that, the platform has zero built‑in validation for our collective‑agreement rules. It cannot warn me about insufficient leave notice periods, so I still need to run those compliance checks manually for every single request. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
