The biggest practical advantage is that protection is applied post-build. We don't have to change application source or add SDK work into the development cycle, which means the security layer doesn't compete with feature delivery, a real constraint for us in banking. The runtime detection for rooted and jailbroken devices, hooking frameworks and repackaging covers the threats that matter most for a mobile banking app, where the client runs on hardware we don't control. The vendor relationship has also been substantive rather than transactional; their team engages properly on threat modelling rather than just shipping a product.
