What do you like best about Progress MarkLogic?

The most useful thing in MarkLogic is the multi-format data ingestion (XML, JSON, etc.). It has a query runner that supports multiple query languages, which is very useful. Unlike other NoSQL providers, it supports the ACID property, which can be a USP in this segment. I personally find setting up security parameters very user-friendly, as we were working with data from different types of customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress MarkLogic?

One problem I personally feel, even though the user interface is amazing, sometimes it confuses me as it has a huge feature set. Also, as the company offers robust solutions, they definitely need to increase their community. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Progress MarkLogic solving and how is that benefiting you?

As we were getting raw data from different sources, our data was coming in various formats, sometimes XML, sometimes JSON. We needed a solution where we didn't need to worry about data imports. Supporting multiple data ingestion formats, MarkLogic solves this issue. Also, we maintain transactions in some cases, so we needed the ACID property, which is very uncommon in other document databases.
