"Flexible Support and Useful Ad Insights, but Deep Research can be improved"
4/5
What do you like best about Prelaunch.com?

I appreciated that Prelaunch.com was flexible when our schedule and launch date kept changing, and they communicated deadlines while giving us time when we missed them. They are very understanding of startups' commitments and other deadlines. And they will always extend asset return deadlines when there is a need. The weekly syncs were helpful, and I liked staying in touch on Slack. Since we didn’t have a Meta account to run ads, their help with running ads, ad copy, and ad designs was very useful, and I appreciated their guidance. I also found the pre-launch dashboard helpful for seeing which ads were doing well and where people were coming from. Our PM actively shared their honest thoughts on the product and ad results and there was no sugar coating of feedback which I appreciated a lot. They would make it a point to stop ads early if there was ever a need and allocate resources elsewhere where they felt we'd see a positive improvement. Our onboarding manager was friendly and flexible during onboarding, and her timely updates made the process feel more lively and helpful. The market research helped, even though it wasn’t as thorough as I’d hoped, and I appreciated the effort the team put into running ads and creating the creatives. The design team was great to work with. I really liked that they were very hands-on with the page design and open to feedback. Even when there was uncertainty on a binary design decision they would clearly outline the pros and cons of either approach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Prelaunch.com?

It wasn’t clear to me at first what kind of visuals were included in the package we paid for. I expected to send Prelaunch the product and get help with visuals, but we had to put in the work taking and editing pictures ourselves. Getting the visuals ready took almost a month, though some of that was on us, because we were coordinating with different people to get those to Prelaunch. The market research also wasn’t as in-depth as I’d hoped: the spreadsheet listed about six competitors when there were several successful competitors, and it felt a bit surface-level. While our PM was very hands-on and actively communicated updates, I felt they weren't super deep on our product and competitors as we'd hoped; I would have liked deeper competitor research and novel ideas for positioning the product. Sometimes I found the way we shared assets kind of broken because it was while it was mainly on Google drive, sometimes the assets shared on Slack were used as final assets. This can reduce final asset quality as Slack largely compresses images and videos which can be lossy for media on your prelaunch page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
