"More Control and Scalability for Salesforce Data in Power BI"
5/5
What do you like best about Power BI Connector for Salesforce?

What stood out to us compared to Microsoft's standard connector is that this app runs directly within Salesforce rather than relying on an external service. Being able to define field selections and filters in Salesforce before the data reaches Power BI gives us more control over what gets exposed and used in reporting. It also helped us avoid some of the 2,000-row limitations we ran into with the built-in connector, particularly when working with larger datasets. Support for incremental refresh has been useful as our reporting needs have grown. We also appreciate that access is governed by existing Salesforce permissions, so there isn't another layer of user management to maintain. The ability to reuse prepared data sources across multiple reports has been a nice bonus as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Power BI Connector for Salesforce?

you have to create and configure a data source inside Salesforce first, rather than just connecting and pulling; for simple tasks that's extra ceremony. The model is import-oriented data prep, not live DirectQuery, so it isn't suited to scenarios that need second-by-second freshness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
