What do you like best about Power BI Connector for Jira?

This app makes it easy to pull Jira data into Power BI without messing around with APIs or manual exports. The JQL filters are great, you can grab exactly the data you need. After setup, the scheduled refreshes work easily, so reports stay up to date. The setup process is pretty straightforward even if you’re not super technical. What do you dislike about Power BI Connector for Jira?

It can get slow with big datasets especially if your Jira instance is packed with issues or custom fields. Some fields don’t always sync cleanly and linked issues can be tricky. It’s also not real-time and the refreshes happen on a schedule. Managing permissions can take a bit of effort, and the pricing might sting if have a large environment. What problems is Power BI Connector for Jira solving and how is that benefiting you?

It solves the headache of trying to get clean, usable data out of Jira and into Power BI. Before we had to mess around with exports, APIs, or weird third-party scripts just to build reports. Now we can connect directly, pick what we need, and refresh automatically.

The biggest benefit is time, we spend way less effort maintaining dashboards and more time actually analyzing what’s going on. It’s also made reporting more reliable since everyone’s pulling from the same, up-to-date data instead of random spreadsheets. Overall, it’s just made Jira reporting feel way less painful.
