**What do you like best about Poppulo?**

Poppulo is a quality platform that's user friendly and makes life easier for internal comms practitioners. The analytics are a key part of the appeal, likewise the access to industry benchmarks. My favourite features include dynamic content (target articles within a newsletter to a specific audience), personalisation, automatic resend to non-openers and the ability for readers to like, rate and comment on content. The team provides a very good level of support and the new AI agents sound promising.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

It would be helpful if the analytics included dwell time. I'd also like to see better options for embedding video, and new functionality for gifs, e-cards etc.

**What problems is Poppulo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It enables us to efficiently deliver aesthetically pleasing branded email communications at the right time to the right audience, and measure success.

Poppulo has been instrumental in refining our internal comms strategy. The ability to send comms to targeted audiences, along with the great newsletter templates, has been incredibly beneficial for us.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

Overall, I’m very happy with the platform. However, there are times when formatting content to look exactly the way I want can be challenging.

**What problems is Poppulo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Poppulo has eliminated the manual work we had with our previous provider to get our people into the platform. It has also made it much easier to send targeted messages to the right groups. The ability for Associates to engage with the content has been very beneficial, and the analytics are clear and useful, allowing us to refine our strategy over time.

**What do you like best about Poppulo?**

I like how easy it is to manage and control Poppulo. The simplicity and speed at which I can update information, remove old information, and get new information live again is amazing. I appreciate that information can be displayed in seconds and routed to multiple screens at once, so there's no need for printing or hanging, and multiple items can be displayed on one screen. I love that when information expires, it doesn't continue to show, which keeps things relevant to our young viewers. Running all of the screens in one building from the same platform is great.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

The only thing that's weird is the inability to display .pdf files.

**What problems is Poppulo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Poppulo to quickly display information on multiple screens, eliminating the need for printing. It's easy to manage, allowing me to update and remove info efficiently. It helps keep info relevant for students, making it great for event announcements.

**What do you like best about Poppulo?**

It is a simple and effective digital signage solution for our team.  The upload process is straightforward, and the platform displays content cleanly and consistently, which helps ensure our team always has access to timely updates and visual communication.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

One area for improvement would be content optimization. Since I typically create slides in PowerPoint and then save them as JPEGs to upload, it would be incredibly helpful if the platform could automatically adjust or optimize content for ideal display dimensions—especially for screen resolutions or aspect ratios.

**What problems is Poppulo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Poppulo helps solve the challenge of communicating with a large team that works across different shifts and sub-departments. Because we don’t have the manpower to host multiple daily meetings or shift meetings, it’s difficult to ensure that everyone receives the same information in a timely and consistent way. Using Poppulo’s digital signage allows us to share important updates, reminders, and announcements with the entire team—regardless of their schedule—helping improve communication, alignment, and overall efficiency.

The performance reports of each comms are helpful in gaging the participation of the receivers of the comm. With this, we know where to put the comms for optimum reach.

Cannot search an individual in the tags section. It would be helpful if it can, to know where an individual is listed in the tags.

Poppulo is solving the problem: are we reaching our target audience? It is benefiting us by knowing how we can best reach them, what works and what to improve in the comms.

Poppulo integrates seamlessly with our HRIS data to allow us to target article-level content within our all-staff newsletter. Our internal comms department send content through Populo 4-10 times a week.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

The product is pretty plug-and-play in terms of content creation but the included templates within Poppulo have limited customization options.

**What problems is Poppulo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a large healthcare company with multiple hospital locations and staff with very different job roles. Poppulo lets us tailor content within our all-staff publications to specific groups and areas to ensure a personalized user experience.

**What do you like best about Poppulo?**

The email planning tools are helpful to plan subject lines and see timing for when communications get sent out. Some of the templates are helpful when trying to build an email from scratch. Distro lists seem to be easily integrated with our HR system.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

Poppulo is one of the more challenging internal email platforms to use. Most email builders are drag-and-drop editors, so it's very hard to use when trying to edit elements and takes double the time to create simple emails. The review process can also be challenging, as you have to send a test for everything vs. being able to easily export a PDF.

**What problems is Poppulo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sending emails to our employees to keep them informed and engaged.

**What do you like best about Poppulo?**

How easy is it to load and edit and time out certain information. Also the amount of loads we can add, I appreciate that we can add many at a time.
Access was also easy to implement for our team, which helped get us a better understanding of the system and support from techs, their customer service is the best. 
Personally I update in Poppulo every month, sometimes more often, and its extremely user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

The only downside, and maybe its our contract, is that we cannot include slides with movement/sounds or powerpoints to the screen. It is something we would enjoy doing for staff.

Helping us with Communication, which many users ignore when emailed, but catches their eye on the signage when walking in or out of building.

It's simple to make elegant newsletters or flash emails in a matter of minutes

THe image gallery still needs some work. A keyword search or a way to jump to any letter of the alphabet wouls speed things up, specially when you have thousands of pictures in the library.

Poppulo allows me to send important information to our workforce across the country in a simple and elegant way. Creating tags for distribution lists is a great feature.

**What do you like best about Poppulo?**

The customer service is top-notch. There are several excellent avenues to get help: the forum, which links to customer service techs, and I have a dedicated Customer Success Manager who is always there to get me what I need.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

I wish the interaction with other products were easier. APIs are available but seem complicated at best. We just do not have the in-house expertise to get it set up and maintained. Their customer service is great and has helped me on many occasions, but I could never really get it going.

Ask questions in the forum. Super helpful.

Dissemination of information throughout the college. That is what has been beneficial.

**What do you like best about Poppulo?**

I love the regular newsletters outlining the latest learning webinars, how to better use Poppulo, but also insights from Poppulo themselves such as their own internal communications strategy. Tags are so easy to update, create and delete. Communications are pulled together in a blink of an eye, easy to use, and lots of ways to personalise templates. I started using Poppulo 8months ago and I wouldn't go back to my previous tool, I picked it up very quickly and was able to start using more features quite quickly.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

Sometimes keyboard shortcuts don't work in emails, such as to bold letters. I wish we could set default colours for the text so it saves time.
Analytics are a little harder to understand and pull, especially with newsletters, as the data seems to be messier - perhaps a webinar on understanding data for newsletters could be a suggestion?

**What problems is Poppulo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Analytics is none existant in emails, so introducing Poppulo has meant we can track readership and engagement across different emails, topics, times of day, audience etc which is really helpful when trying to improve this.

Poppulo help to simplify newsletter delivery platform and make it easy for employees to aware of company latest news and changes. Instant messaging is the most interesting module that let me and my team to get connected instantly and create private group message to chat about our work progress. Compatible to be install/setup on desktop and mobile devices give flexibility in operating Poppulo and not restricted only to one device per user.

Limited choice for email template for different uses is what I dislike. I have to create my email form scratch and It take my time to create a simple email.

The reports and results feature have help me to better understand my audiences and improve my communications.   I've learned and improved in the best times to send communications and better titling options for higher readership.

Preview  option will sometimes not capture the exact look of sent message.

The downside would be the cost - it's a great tool for small businesses too but budgets may not permit. So options for smaller businesses would be great.

Poppulo modernize and give big impact on our internal communication as a company. It is easy to use, easy to access and have multiple communicating channel that it can support, such as mobile application, email or SMS. Installation is easy, especially for mobile device that we just need to install the apps and login using our access detail. Group instant chat room or private room is available for team usage.

As for now, I have not experience any problem with Poppulo. No bugs, freezing sceen or anything major with the application.

Whenever I've had a problem figuring out how to get the platform to do what I want, or when the system doesn't behave as I expect, Poppulo's customer service team has provided speedy, attentive support in getting my question answered or my issue resolved. Their team is easy to reach, helpful, and kind.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

The platform currently has some limitations in how it's possible to organize/move your data -- for example, you can't move a live communication to a different folder, and it's not possible to create subfolders.

**What problems is Poppulo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Poppulo for distributing internal communications on technology updates, primarily. In that sense, Poppulo is helping us navigate change management when our users will experience an update to an existing system or a new system.

Besides it's ease of use, the two factors I like best about Poppulo are audience segmentation and being able to target and tailor content for different audiences, and the measurement and insights it gives you. Both are essential to delivering effective, strategic internal communcations.

I have been using Poppulo for many years across different organisations - my main dislike is that i've not seen many huge developments and advancements in that time. I would like to see more innovation.

We are a very diverse organisation, so being able to easily segment our audiences and provide tailored targeted content is essential to landing our messages.

It is incredibly user friendly and has some nice design options. This is our single-source email tool, and I like the integrations available.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

We experience all kinds of formatting issues, and it is disappointing that we're not able to update our templates (at least on an annual basis) for free. Everything costs extra.

Streamlined internal communications to all assocaites with an email - single-source tool.

The software gives you the ability to do exactly what you want. Through both web and application-based software, you can streamline complex Digital Signage Presentations

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

As an advanced developer, I would like to see more error checking or any error checking when scripting. It gives you so much potential, but often critical time is spent in trial and error due to a misspelling in "Player.SetVariable" or other basic expressions.

It gives me the ability as a single admin to reach a much larger audience without investing in other resources to accomplish a task that the player performs with minimal user input.

The biggest challenge is maintaining the lists and removing old data that no longer is necessary. It is great for sending out communications quickly.

I find the site itself to be helpful in a business fashion. It has a user-friendly UI and various levels of information at your fingertips.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

The support response could be improved. Submitting a support ticket does not guarantee a response. I usually wait several days without an email letting me know my ticket has been viewed or is in a queue.

If I get support response it's to address an issue with design or implementation of the software I use for digital signage.

**What do you like best about Poppulo?**

Love the content macros, customisable fields and all round ease of using Poppulo. The events side is one I always recommend internally, the metrics it gives you and ability to chase those who haven't responded is far better than standard outlook invites. Their support team are also very quick and understand my questions and answer them fully,

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

I wish their test server was a bit quicker and when testing events with multiple sessions, it allowed you to test that it had worked on any session you pick and not just by sending the first one.

Limited layout template provided on the library. Need to build design ourself to make it fit with objective.

**What do you like best about Poppulo?**

The best thing about Poppulo is the clone functionality that allows users to duplicate previous emails and reuse templates. The delivery tracking is very helpful since that is not available in Outlook.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

Poppulo has some formatting quirks that take a bit of trial-and-error to figure out. For example, the fonts do not exactly mirror common programs like Microsoft Office programs, meaning that if you want to deliver an email that appears like Arial size 10 in Outlook, you neet to use Arial size 13 in Poppulo. It would also be great if the date formatting on calendar invitations was more customizable. For example, I would prefer the dates be displayed as day, month, year.

Poppulo offers the ability to track delivery and opens. It makes using our templates easy with its Clone feature.

Best platform to distibute new infromation/news about organization using news feed, as part of the weekly newsletter for our internal communication module. Easy to use and install it on personal device (i.e smartphone).

Inline translation using the machine translation is inaccurate and lead to problem when the word that it use has mislead audience.

I love easy the backend / dashboard is to navigate. The metrics reporting tools are extremely easy to use and helps me build my reports so fast and well. It pulls numbers I often don't think of.

The template to create emails is a little difficult to use. I wish there were better pre-populated templates for my users. They struggle a lot with creating the emails.

I love the folders to store all of our different campaigns for different events and divisions. It makes it a lot easier to create, store, and find our content. I also really appreciate being able to clone an older piece and make edits. The templates make it much easier to create newsletters too. The platform has a lot of capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

Formatting can be a challenge. Whether copying and pasting text from a document or trying to get the spacing and lines correct this can be very challenging. There are a LOT of features in the system but they are often hidden and you don't know they are there until you stumble into them.

**What problems is Poppulo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Poppulo makes it easier for me to get messages out, in a beautiful templated format, to our teammates quickly and efficiently. One team keeps the list data up-to-date so that the other team can create and send communications easily without having to figure out where to send them.

Small library for email template to choose. Most of the time, I have to design myself for the email template, which is taking so time to complete. Overall, it is one of easiest mass communication tools that I have use.

The support on the rare occasion that I have had to use is second to none.  The email platform is user friendly and continues to develop and improve all the time. Poppulo remains one of the best internal comms email platforms on the market. The ease of set up, email creation, and measurement make it a great tool for any business looking to use email to engage colleagues. 

There's a lot of customisation possible for advanced users, and the integration of a survey tool and event tracking is a nice bonus for teams who want more from the platform.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

The major issue is the email builder feels like it was designed over a decade ago. There's been no major enhancements to user experience and new platforms have much better WYSIWYG editors with drag and drop creation and more creative layouts. 

That said, if you can work confidently in tables, you can do a huge amount with the tools available.

**What problems is Poppulo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides an all in one digital comms platform to make sure our emails land with impact, and allows us to measure that impact with detailed analytics. Over the last six months, we've built a clear view of what colleagues want from our emails and digital comms, which we're able to use to improve what we do.

Nothing. The service is slow, our needs are not listened to, and our customer support reps do not seem to care.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

Everything. We have been working on what we thoguht would be a simple project for eight months with minimal progress. To Poppulo's credit, there were additional steps we needed to take which added to this timeline. However, now that we are at the point of being able to work on our original goals, we are being told those were never requested. Everyone seems to only have a one track mind. We ask for three things, only the most recent gets attended to while the others are forgotten about. WHen we ask about the other items, we are told they were never requested, despite having a paper trail with these requests. We are so frustrated with the service that we are dangerously close to pulling our contract. Make it easy for yourself and just do not use Poppulo.

Literally none. It has been eight months since we requested a design upgrade and all tha has happened is reupping our contract with no benefits or additional services recieved.

It creates strong, branded newsletters that are easy to compile with it's intuitive drag and drop features. 
Poppulo also provides great insights into your internal communications.

**What do you dislike about Poppulo?**

As an enterprise user, I would like  more flexibility in creating sub-accounts and changes to templates. Currently requests like these go through the process of an online request form to the support team. It can take a few days to resolve as the support team aren't the quickest in coming back. Sometimes, changes to your template design (such as adding or removing a component)  needs to be actioned urgently and so it would be easier for users to be able to do this themselves.

Allows us to send our internal staff communications in a sleek and branded design template. Provides useful analytics to help shape out employee comms.
