**What do you like best about Polly?**

The product itself is genuinely well built. The Q&A / Suggestion Box polly type is exactly what I needed for an anonymous team feedback channel, and the configuration flow walks you through everything thoughtfully: moderation settings, anonymity controls, collaborators for review, upvoting, and scheduling are all laid out clearly. The builder interface is responsive and the interactive preview updates in real time as you make changes, which made configuration feel fast even across a multi-step flow. The Slack integration feels native rather than bolted on. For teams that need structured feedback collection in Slack, Polly's feature set is arguably the strongest in the category.

**What do you dislike about Polly?**

The pricing practices are genuinely misleading, and that's not a word I use lightly.
The Polly interface displays monthly subscription pricing throughout the setup and configuration flow. After spending a substantial amount of time building out a Q&A suggestion box end to end (configuring title, message, moderation rules, collaborators, audience settings, anonymity toggles, and scheduling), the actual available plans revealed themselves at the final step: a $288/year annual commitment or an $80 one-week pass. There is no monthly option. The monthly pricing shown earlier in the flow does not correspond to any purchasable plan.
This is a textbook dark pattern. Onboarding a user through an hour of configuration under one set of pricing assumptions, then surfacing entirely different terms only after they're invested, is a deliberate design choice. It's not a UI bug. It's a funnel.
The onboarding experience also compounds the problem. A tool marketed around workplace transparency and honest feedback walks its own customers through a setup process built on misleading pricing. The irony is hard to miss, and for admins evaluating Polly for feedback use cases specifically, that contradiction matters.
I would have paid a transparent monthly rate without hesitation. Instead, I spent an afternoon configuring a product I can't deploy, and I'm evaluating alternatives. The product is good. The sales strategy is the reason this is a 3-star review instead of a 4 or 5.

**What problems is Polly solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were looking for a way to create a truly anonymous suggestion box for our team in Slack. The goal was to give reps a low-friction way to share honest feedback, concerns, ideas, and shoutouts without their names attached, and for leadership to be able to triage and respond in a structured way rather than chasing emoji reactions or one-off DMs.
Polly's Q&A format is a clean fit for this problem. The persistent widget in a Slack channel means reps don't need to remember slash commands, which is a real adoption barrier with other tools in this category. Anonymity, moderation, and upvoting are all configurable. On paper, it solves the problem exactly.
The benefit to us would have been a trusted, always-on feedback channel that doesn't depend on rep tech-savvy to participate. Unfortunately, we never got to realize that benefit because we couldn't get past the pricing issue at deployment. The problem Polly is built to solve is real and valuable. Whether Polly is the tool to solve it depends on whether their pricing practices change.

Easy to set up and easy to use. I also like that it gives people the option to add something to the poll, which makes it more flexible.

**What do you dislike about Polly?**

I’ve found it difficult to edit an existing poll, and I’m not even sure whether that’s possible.

Polly helps me build consensus across the team by capturing everyone’s opinions on work-related topics. It also makes it easier to gauge how well a process is working and where we may need to adjust.

It is easy to use in our team message app. I used it to create polly for first time last week and it didn't took long to create a good polly. We use it quite often. When having an issue, the support reach out quick enough and explained to me the root cause of the problem.

Love that it integrates so seamlessly with Slack. I can create a question bank and share it with certain channels. The options for questions is great, making surveys as complete as possible in order to get the most feedback. Super easy to use and implements so well. I use on a case to case basis but slowly making part of my weekly use.

You need to add polly first to private channels which is an extra step to take

Great to know about Polly's ease of use! Our vision is to help you drive purposeful engagement in the simplest way possible.

I hear you on the private channels issue, the extra step can be bothersome especially when all you want you to do is send out the quick poll and get instant feedback. Unfortunately the way Slack works, the apps don't have default access to the private channels. Till the time you don't add the app, we are not aware of the channel, hence the extra step.

Regarding allowing you to like more than 1 option, this is possible. If the polly author has enabled "allow multiple responses" then the respondents can select more than one choice. Basically, this is a completely customisable setting in control of the author 😊

The reporting functionality varies in Slack and MS Teams. It's quite robust in Slack in the form of charts, demographics mapping, Google sheets integration but the functionality of CSV exports is available on both platforms.
