"Revolutionized Our Feedback Process with Time-Saving Video Insights"

4/5

What do you like best about Plotto?

I really like that Plotto is built around asynchronous video‑driven feedback, and this fits our real‑world workflow really well. Most of our midsize‑business clients have packed schedules, their project managers and IT contacts are juggling lots of ongoing tasks, so locking everyone into fixed live feedback meetings is always a struggle. With Plotto, our clients can record their thoughts whenever they have a spare moment, straight from their web browser, no downloads or extra installations required. When clients record short video comments, they can walk through confusing workflows, describe confusing UI behavior, and explain pain points with way more context than short text survey answers. Our developers get to hear the client’s actual perspective, and it helps them grasp exactly what end‑users are running into, instead of trying to guess meaning from vague written replies. I also get a lot of mileage out of the reusable survey templates. We handle different kinds of custom software work, some are small internal business tools, others are larger customer‑facing system builds. I keep separate pre‑made templates for these project types. Once we finish a project and complete client hand‑off, I just generate a unique respondent link and send it over, instead of building every survey from scratch. That cuts down a ton of repetitive setup work month over month. The tagging feature is another huge plus for our small team. After feedback submissions roll in, I tag each entry to mark things like usability confusion, minor bugs, or requested new features. Later on I can quickly pull together all feedback falling under the same tag when I put together internal reports for developers and account managers. To be clear, there is no native CRM integration, I still have to manually copy important feedback points into our customer records. Even with that extra manual step, Plotto helps us gather far more detailed, useful client input without all the back‑and‑forth calendar chasing we dealt with before. What do you dislike about Plotto?

Plotto works for our core use‑case of gathering client video feedback, but it has some noticeable gaps that create extra manual work day‑to‑day for our operations role. The main downside is how limited its native reporting functionality is. Even though I can tag every incoming response to label bugs, usability frustrations and feature wishes, there is no built‑in aggregated overview. I cannot quickly view which issues pop‑up most often across our different completed client projects. There are no built‑in charts, frequency breakdowns or trend summaries. Whenever our dev team or account management team wants a clear picture of client sentiment after multiple project deliveries, I’m forced to export the complete raw CSV dataset. Then I spend time manually sorting, filtering and grouping every tagged response inside Excel to build consolidated summary tables on my own. This takes up quite a chunk of my working hours, and it becomes even more time‑consuming when multiple projects finish around the same time and we receive a larger batch of feedback all at once. On top of that, the filtering options on exports are basic. I cannot directly export only responses that carry one specific tag. If I want to isolate only feature‑request feedback for example, I need to download everything first and then clean up the spreadsheet by removing unrelated rows. There is also no way to trigger targeted alerts for high‑risk feedback, so I need to regularly log into the dashboard myself to check new submissions. None of these are show‑stopping flaws, but they add repetitive manual overhead that slows down how fast we can turn client feedback into actionable work items. What problems is Plotto solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before we started using Plotto, we relied on ordinary text email surveys plus scheduled video calls to gather post‑project feedback. Survey emails would often get ignored, and written answers were usually short and lacked context. Arranging live feedback sessions meant constant back‑and‑forth calendar coordination between our team and busy client stakeholders, which dragged out our post‑project review phase for weeks at a time. Now I send out Plotto generated links once we finish our custom‑software handover phase. Client contacts submit their feedback on their own time, recording video input directly in‑browser. This drastically cuts down calendar coordination work and improves our feedback response rate. The reusable templates reduce repetitive form building for every new engagement, and tagging helps me organize large volumes of mixed text and video feedback. I export results, compile internal summaries, and manually log key findings inside our CRM. Our developers and account managers use this real client input to prioritize bug fixes, adjust support handling, and shape future feature planning for our custom software deliverables. While manual data handling is still required, we get far richer, more nuanced client insights compared to our older survey tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
