I really like Playbook Cloud Storage for its ability to solve our messy local-file chaos for broadcast media assets. I appreciate how it centralizes our media files and eliminates messy email attachments by allowing us to share dedicated folders. This makes it easy for editors and clients to access approved media directly. The granular folder-sharing controls are my favorite feature, as they allow me to grant download-only access to raw interview footage for freelance editors, and view-only permissions for finished sponsor ad spots to advertising clients. Playbook Cloud Storage struggles with large-media-file search performance, which slows us down during weekly live-stream prep. When hunting for older sponsor ad clips buried inside heavy podcast asset folders, search queries often return incomplete results. There is also no native integration with our project-management platform. Since we lack dedicated IT staff, we cannot set up custom syncs.
