I use Planview ProjectAdvantage as a portfolio management system to monitor my projects after planning and execution. It helps solve planning, budgeting, resource management, and cost management problems for me. I really like how it makes work much easier to track and improve where needed. The Gantt charts are great for displaying project schedules, as they help identify task dependencies and monitor progress. My organization switched from Microsoft Excel because Planview ProjectAdvantage offers centralized project management instead of dealing with multiple spreadsheets. Sometimes, Planview ProjectAdvantage is very complex, making working difficult because it has a lot of features. It also has a high implementation cost, especially for smaller companies. Project setup and configuration is time consuming because of calendars and schedules, defining work breakdowns, creating project templates, and setting milestones and dependencies. The initial setup was a bit challenging, but eventually we managed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
