Outstanding features - they understand what our developers need AND our After Effects creative professionals as well. The support is outstanding and responsive - they genuinely care about their customer's success and are willing to help solve our challenges in executing our creative vision. Documentation could use improvement, but that's true on any platform. This is offset by Plainly's willingness to help and provide support - especially as we were first using the platform. Some of the script functions can be hard to understand from their descriptions - some graphic illustration would help. The project versioning system could use improvement. But all of these are really minor things that I am sure Plainly will improve. Overall it's an excellent service at a very fair price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Plainly Videos solving and how is that benefiting you? Plainly is enabling us to create customized marketing videos tailored to individual consumers, at scale. We previously had our own "homebrewed" systems of individual After Effects nodes that were tied together with our own custom scripting. While this worked, it required a lot of maintenance, was difficult to monitor, and could not scale beyond 10 nodes. And that scaling required a lot of manual setup. With plainly, we have been able to reduce our processing time (renders + transcodes + workflow) by 320%, we've reduced our costs by 70%, and for the same spend we have 8x the concurrent render capacity.
